  1. Past hour
  2. I appreciate the effort Bobby but some of the experts on these threads can’t help themselves 🙄
  3. Having 2 5th year seniors who stayed with you all 5 years is so rare. Alfred and Vernon feel like the last of a dying breed.
  4. FWIW - over the next couple of months, I think it hurts Texas for people to be speaking negatively about current players on the roster. Let the coaching staff decide who they want to keep and who they don’t. Some opinions I’ve read in this thread are woefully uninformed and can only be used as fodder for opponents. That’s reality. I don’t mind due consideration and discussion. I do mind over the top stuff that is just blatantly untrue or entirely misinformed.
  5. So true.
  6. As an underclassman Broughton got put on skates more than any DT I’ve seen at Texas. He surprisingly cleaned that up by his final year and held the point of attack well. I’m sure Watson will too.
  7. Yurachek makes Kamala's word salads seem almost coherent...
  8. The dude was a true sophomore. Your memories of those guys are in their 4th and 5th years. DTs get better with time. We’ll be better off if he has time to mature here.
  9. Sark already said we would honor the 26/27 games against Ohio State and Michigan.
  10. I like Watson, think he has good upside, but I wouldn't overpay for him. We need some bigger bodies in the middle that can make plays. Feel like we were pushed around a lot in the middle this year. Hoping Sharma can take a big step forward, because he's got the size/talent you want in the middle. Would also expect J.Terry to take up a ton of snaps, January to keep improving and hoping Kanu comes back. Not sure what Johnson is going to do, don't recall seeing him much.
  11. Exactly this. Watson was a HUGE step down from Sweat-Murphy-Collins-Broughton
  12. The Cotton Bowl is the only night game on New Year’s Eve.
  13. I saw Maraad Watson get pushed like a blocking sled by double teams multiple times this season. Literally sliding on the ground backward. 4 solo tackles. If LSU wants him badly enough to outbid what should be a second tier NIL package (non elite player) from Texas, they can have him. I think we should be able to find an adequate replacement. LSU seems like they will have multiple freshman DTs that should be able to produce more, so I doubt they’d go gung-ho for Watson
  14. You obviously pay attention. He played quite a bit, despite dealing with an injury much of season. Have you ever changed jobs?
  15. This whole cfp selection is hot pile of horse sh*t. When vegas open lines on some of these games are double digit, do those teams deserve to get in? And ND needing special rules to get selected is garbage too.
  16. Today
  17. I just don't think G5 schools should be given automatic bids, now we've got two of them because the system makes no sense. Hell, create a separate playoff for the G5 schools for all I care.
  18. To be completely honest, I’m to the point where if you don’t want to be at Texas leave. They’re pretty much just mercenaries anyway, get 10$ more and they’ll bounce lol.
  19. You really follow things close.🤠
  20. Yes he got a lot of snaps and was a contributor.
  21. They have a lot of DTs
  22. Gonna be lots of things like this to be aware of.
  23. Yesterday
  24. With Elijah Robinson going to LSU. Should Texas be concerned with Watson leaving to reunite with him?
