  1. Past hour
  2. Agree, we have no one that can what Blue did on this run.
  3. That is obviously false. The throw to endries on the sideline was very well feathered. Many of the passes he did poorly with he has done perfectly fine with in the past. He does need work controlling his velocity.
  4. …and Quinn couldn’t rip it, but feathered it well. Give Arch time to get his touch down when facing pressure.
  5. Brooks Austin “the Film Guy” said he had a pro scout tell him that Arch can’t “feather” the ball. Everything is ripped on a rope. Wouldn’t have ever expected that from a seasoned QB “prodigy” who has been groomed his whole life but so far the tape doesn’t lie.
  6. I’m still baffled by Arch’s inaccuracy on easy throws yesterday. Would be shocking for any 3rd year 5 star but even moreso one with his last name. Question is this were there any signs of this in his starts last year? I don’t remember noticing errant throws like that, but I haven’t gone back and looked. Maybe one of you could do a breakdown this week? Would love to know if this is an ongoing issue or first road start jitters or something. Thanks for considering!
  7. Sorry if already posted. Just got back from Columbus earlier today and rewatched the game. I read other posts about a possible shoulder injury, but on more than one occasion Manning kept rotating both shoulders as if his pads were bothering him. He did it again on the final drive when he threw it short to Endries’ feet on 2nd down. Damn I’m pissed if his inaccuracy was in part due to an equipment f’up. Smh
  8. Our defense played pretty damn well.
  9. Today
  10. Sark needs to recruit a big boy every year
  11. ………….Cody Johnson.🤘
  12. I’ll say this about Arch. I don’t care who your family is, what you’ve been through or anything. there’s no way he hasn’t heard all of the hype and pressure and to be a real first time starter with 1,000 times the normal pressure a QB faces for a first start I’m sure he was gripping f that ball tight Analysts are literally apologizing for how much they talked about him and hyped him up. Never seen that before.
  13. Yesterday
  14. Definitely agree on kick and punt returner. That’s the best a program with Texas and its NIL war chest can do at those positions? We should have Peter Warwick 2.0 out there.
  15. Durham is a beast. Hate we missed on him
  16. Wingo looked pretty fast
  17. I think missing out on Eric Singleton to auburn hurt. Johntay isn’t a burner and zachariah is more of a gimmick player. Jet sweeps, screens, special teams and so on. Not really a complete wide receiver who’ll make a difference.
  18. I’ve been asking this question. I don’t think there are game changers on this offense. I will wait for it to play out but I don’t believe a trio of Wingo, Moore, and Livingstone is going to be good enough (add Mosley to that if he gets healthy). Always disagreed with the decision to go after guys who had more size and less speed this year. Get why we did it, but personally didn’t like it when there were so many explosive options in the portal. We’ll see how it goes.
  19. I'm not convinced Ohio State has a faster offense than Texas, and if they do its a small advantage at best. I'd put Texas speed towards the top of the entire country. Wingo, Moore, Livingstone, Butler all most likely in 4.4 range. Arch has some tremendous wheels as does Nick Townsend. In my opinion its more frustrating that we didn't see the speed because of lack of execution. Against zone coverages a lot is sitting down and finding gaps. Wingo and Arch need to figure it out by Gainesville. Not sure of Wisners top end speed but he doesn't look slow to me and Baxter should get faster and faster. Pre injury he had some jets. I'd have loved Zechariah Branch but hopefully some of the freshman step up. It hurts to say it, but a head on straight Johntay Cook would be getting some big playing time this season.
  20. Wasn’t just a concern from week 1. A lot of us had this concern all offseason and wanted another playmaker or two to be brought in via the portal. We got Mosley but who knows if he’ll ever play and he’s more a possession guy.
  21. I don't think Texas speed is the problem, its getting guys the ball on time in stride so they can make a play after the catch to utilize it. Arch inaccuracy many times cost playmakers their ability to run in space. I cant recall one player getting a ball in stride to run after the catch in space. Wingo and Livingstone can fly and Endries showed good speed and burst on his sideline downfield grab. Deandre Moore has good wheels also. Its more the lack of utilization of speed in week 1 that was concerning. If they were dropping in cover 3 zones I wouldn't have been against a few more reverses for Wingo or screens. However, even the screen pass from Arch was a skipping rock unfortunately.
  22. This game reminds me of the OSU Michigan game last year where Day tried to impose his will on Michigan and beat them at their own game. They lost that game but found themselves after and went on to win the natty. I hope whatever was off with Arch gets fixed and maybe Sark goes back to the drawing board and we find something that works.
  23. I get what you’re saying, but who on 2023 Michigan’s offense had game breaking speed?
  24. Because it doesn’t fit the narrative. Not sure if Dabo will ever be what he was from 2015-2020 again as the HC at Clemson. Mr. Sioux Falls did win the Pack 12 and played for a natty in a 4 team CFP though.
  25. where is it on offense? We are slow compared to other top teams. I am much less worried about Arch than I am about not having many playmakers around him in a league that requires it to win a championship. - Our RBs are tough but nothing dangerous. - WR? Nobody to keep you up at night. Wingo is supposed to be fast but he’s more theoretical than real until he shows it. - Return game? I think we had our two slower RBs returning kicks and Niblett for punts who’s supposed to be fast but that needs to show on the field.
  26. Why Is DeBoer included but not Dabo? I think DeBoer is a really good coach but he hasn’t won a championship and he hasn’t done enough yet to be considered elite.
  27. While I agree some was vanilla and basic, its tough for a play caller to find a great rhythm if his QB is out of sync too. Some big opportunities missed by Arch on solid play calls from Sark where the entire first half they had no rhythm. Then some absolute dud calls in the red. Frustrating from both but hoping this is their worst game of the year. Flush it.
