  1. Past hour
  2. I picked up Phil Steele's magazine at Barnes and Noble two weeks ago in Ft Worth. I noticed a couple of the other CFB preview magazines but I didn't see Dave Campbell's Texas Football. I could have missed it and it was a couple of weeks ago. Fwiw, the Barnes and Noble location didn't have the Phil Steele cover with Arch Manning. The cover they apparently chose to stock is the Big XII version. Usually the Phil Steele mag is stocked with a couple of different covers, but I suppose they think CFB fans in Ft Worth only care about TCU. Yuk. I have the magazine on the coffee table with the front cover facing down.
  3. Hill doesn't play a premium position, but he's a premium player. He can be the cornerstone of an NFL defense for the next decade.
  4. that blows my mind they see Taaffe like that
  5. Agree with you Jeff. Most OTF fans understand just how difficult the post-surgery rehabilitation process can be for football players. But many casual football fans don't have any idea about how physically and mentally challenging rehab is. Hicks is one of the extraordinary players who excelled in spite of dealing with Injuries. Congratulations and best wishes to him! Hook 'Em!
  6. Simmons and hill on the edge plus Spence and moore coming from linebacker is nasty work. 4 legit pass rushers coming from any angle
  7. I think he's really good rushing between the tackles.
  8. I see him as a true 4-3 OLB who can slide inside if the D goes nickel. Anyone remember Jack Ham?
  9. He’s always been a great person as well as a great player. Happy to see him have a tremendous NFL career especially after the injuries.
  10. 13 int's from the LB position is fantastic...not many LBs with 13 int's!
  11. I would agree. Hes a better edge than LB but hes still a great LB.
  12. Today
  13. IMO the unlimited transfers is the one thing that really needs to be fixed, and it turns out it's quite easy to do so: just allow players to sign binding multi-year pay for play contracts. The attempts to identify "legitimate" NIL just brings us back to a system where we reward cheaters. Only this time it's even easier to cheat because there are many legitimate avenues to launder the money through. (If you think about it rules were much easier to enforce when players weren't allowed to take any money whatsoever).
  14. Someone from the area may know better, but hopefully this link will help. HEB, Walgreens, CVS and Barnes and Noble usually carry it! Good luck! 🤘https://www.texasfootball.com/retailers/
  15. I haven’t seen it on the newstand. Is it available in DFW? I’m up in the Frisco/Plano area who is carrying it up here?
  16. No reason to stay at Texas for Anthony if he’s a top ten pick in 2026. Go make the big money
  17. Ten seasons is a long time to play in the NFL when the average career is around 3-4 seasons. Congratulations Jordan
  18. Helluva creer indeed. Congraulations to Jordan.
  19. This means nothing period. The House Attorneys have hammered the Clearinghouse into submission. They have negotiated and it is business as usual for Collectives again. The House Attorney's threatened them with legal action, and go back to the judge for mediation and the NCAA caved as usual. Nothing has changed. We all knew the Clearinghouse deal would be challenged and defeated. Texas will be fine!!
  20. Helluva career for the former Longhorn All-American. That he was a top-100 draft pick after two serious injuries in college and played 10 years in the league after dealing with injuries in his pro career speaks to his talent and perseverance.
  21. Yes. It's for next year's draft. Draft eligible only.
