  1. Past hour
  2. Texans are looking like us rn elite defense but no offense OL can’t block CJ missing throws but at least special teams are good
  3. Everyone has a plan until they start out 0-2 in SEC play and 3-3 on the season.
  4. The continuity into SEC play is a concern. Will already be without Baxter this game. Would like to see every starter for the UF game stay healthy and play a full game against OU, too. We need to start piling reps together as a unit. That’s about all we can ask at this point with non-con 75% complete.
  5. If we’re only up 7-0 again at the half I’M out vs SJSU 🫣😭
  6. Yep that's helped PK build his defense into what it is today. Since he has a position coach for every room on defense, he can focus exclusively on game planning.
  7. Any word on Moseley ?
  8. Repeat this after me….Arch Manning will not get benched. No chance. You better pray he figures it out. That is the contingency plan.
  9. Someone check my math here but a catcher nicknamed Chubs has a 100% chance of being awesome.
  10. IMO if Sark does decide to hire a new play caller he should let the play caller then choose if Flood should be retained or bring in his own. I'm of the belief that the play caller should bring his own due to the fact there is continuity there and each know what is needed to create the offensive identity. We are 5 years in and we do not have an offensive identity or something we can point to and be like "yes, that is the Texas offense."
  11. The OP is calling for Flood to be fired. I simply asked who should we hire.
  12. The guy has the talent. We’ve seen it. We hollered for it. Let him work.
  13. Why is this the typical response from people? We can't criticize Floods OL, so list your top 3 OL coaches? You're allowed to call out poor play by the OL and the coach that is supposed to be "the best in the business" when you can't even get a push against less competition. When they're missing basic assignments, still making mental errors/mistakes, etc. This isn't a trend just this year. Should he be fired? Probably not. But he definitely deserves criticism for the way his OL's play.
  14. Today
  15. No one forgot how bad those were. Doesn't mean that the last 5 years haven't also been bad. A step up, for certain, but still bad. When was the last time we had our OL just maul people at the LOS and move the pule consistently? When you're struggling to do so against SJSU and UTEP, that is a bad sign. Because the guys you're going to face in the SEC week to week, have much better front 7's than UTEP and SJSU. Even last year they didn't look all that impressive.
  16. Not sure what he's doing, but the guy he passes off is who Baker is supposed to block. The guy Baker breaks off to block, is who Stroh is pulling to block. Mental mistakes.
  17. I had someone with a bit more high-profile success in mind. It just seems to me like things go really well when we have some elder statesmen hanging around. Dick Tomey was another good one! I remember having a great year when he was hanging on the sidelines. Someone like that for the offensive side of things.
  18. If they think KJ is 100% the guy post Arch, then keep him warm and ready to go now. im curious what would happen if things just totally came off the rails to the point where Arch just couldn’t take the heat from the fans and media and he transferred to somewhere like Tulane in the offseason. would they be looking to roll with KJ or get someone high end out of the portal that could lead to KJ and other transferring.
  19. If none of Caldwell, Owens or Lacey can't pass better than Arch, we are indeed in real big trouble. Seriously what have we been doing with the QBs.
  20. Yesterday
  21. Same. There is no contingency. Arch is QB1 and 2.
  22. For a certain amount of time, yes. But there’s too much invested in the success of this program from an NIL standpoint, fan investment and the considerations of every other player on the team for this entire season to turn into 12 games of teaching Arch how to play again. At some point you rip the bandaid which brings in the contingency planning.
  23. Thanks for posting this. In addition to what others have posted some things that jump out at me: Accuracy is way better, especially on the deep balls More decisive, ball comes out quicker Not every throw is a missile. Doesn't have Quinn's touch, but he took some heat off the shorter throws There were misses, but they were small misses like turning screeners around instead of hitting them in stride. No skipping balls to receivers UTEP Arch looks like the freshman, this Arch looks like the second year player. Really odd. Another random thing - my god the speed on that receiving group. Bond preinjury, Golden, Wingo, and even Bolden, the difference in quickness compared to this year's group is pretty shocking.
