Athlon Sports Playoff Projections: Texas Wins It All
Bevo92 replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Always fun to see the projections, including a wild card pick or two. Would think Notre Dame makes the top 4 over Kansas St. I'd go with Texas, Penn St, Notre Dame and Clemson as the top 4 seeds with byes then the rest of the pack Athlon selected is not unreasonable, except swap out Arizona St with Kansas St. ASU Coaching and QB play plus their top WR too strong to not win the Big 12. Think TTU coming in 3rd or 4th in the Big 12 will be fun to watch the meltdown. Would love to see a Texas -v- Clemson National Championship or the one Athlon predicted against Penn St would be awesome as well. Hell, any national championship game that involves the Horns would be incredible. Been too long. Season can't get here soon enough. We'll get to see alot in week 1 re: how different the offense looks in the Arch Era. Hook em!! 🐂🤘🧡 - Today

Athlon Sports Playoff Projections: Texas Wins It All

I wish someone elae was being picked to win it all. Texas has a history of thinking too highly of itself when they are projected at the top of the heap. At least their is a playoff now to sort it all out when teams have established true chemistry after a long, hard fought season. -

Give Me Your Thoughts | Coverage for the Fall
harveycmd replied to CJ Vogel's topic in On Texas Football Forum
To further elaborate: I must have read and taught James Madison's Federalist 10 to students over a hundred times. Of course, Madison wrote the US Constitution. I spent countless hours explaining that, contrary to popular media, the foundation of the US was not based on anthropological egalitarianism, i.e. "equality." Rather it was grounded in property as the necessary practical consequence of cognitive hierarchy. "The diversity in the faculties of men, from which the rights of property originate, is not less an insuperable obstacle to a uniformity of interests. The protection of these faculties is the first object of government. From the protection of different and unequal faculties of acquiring property, the possession of different degrees and kinds of property immediately results; and from the influence of these on the sentiments and views of the respective proprietors, ensues a division of the society into different interests and parties." A student asked me if I could "show" them what this meant. My response was that history shows it, but there isn't an image or series of images that communicates its truth if you don't understand the conceptual basis of its truth. -

Concepts, boys, concepts. The concept is more important than the image. -

During post game analysis and film breakdown could y’all work it out where you’re able to show footage of the breakdown? I know other content creators show it. -

Tyler Atkinson ... just a special LB prospect. But I get where you are with Samari Matthews ... 6-foot-1 corner that has physicality and playmaking. A true corner va. trying to develop a player into a CB. -

@Bobby Burton @Gerry HamiltonAnother site did a deep dive into current roster economics. Basically concluded that 2026 we will likely have 17 super blue chips on roster…two of which get $$ outside of rev sharing…so 15…if you sssume on average $1 million per, that leaves $2 million (assuming some rev share goes to other sports) for 2026 recruits and non super blue chips on 2026 roster…this just doesn’t work. How in the world are we going to take care of new recruits? Our retained roster is simply too expensive e to recruit at a high level? Thoughts? -
Gotta be some type of record lol

Who do you believe is the most critical uncommitted prospect left for Texas to close? Smoke Matthews for me. -

Waldemar has been using their kitchens to provide food for workers and searchers. Brought in generators and have been going around the clock, doing what they can.
