  1. Past hour
  2. How much does Texas miss Jake Majors for the second year in a row, very under appreciated player for his time at Texas. In his last two years as a starter Texas had a top 25 offense. Now the Eagles starting center When Sark was the primary play caller at Alabama he had Landon Dickerson. Who obviously has moved to guard and been a great player in the NFL. Coach Sark’s other top 25 offense he had the late Max Turek as his starting center who was a third round pick. If a knee injury doesn’t hurt his development he could’ve been a consistent starter for the Chargers. Tackles get all the flash but center is the most important position under Sark. You gotta look at Robertson and flat out say it’s not good enough and roll someone else out there.
  3. Those are some very good points. I hope he is able to get his head straight, because he seems like a great kid. I know this is all eating him up. I can’t imagine what he could be going through mentally. Are you more leaning towards the side of at this point in his career that if this is how it plays out again tomorrow, he may just not be as good and may do better going to a lower-level school? It’s just so hard to understand exactly what is wrong, and that’s what I hate about how things have transpired. Because ultimately, Sark is the head coach, and if this isn’t the type of offense that works with Arch, he should’ve realized that before this year and tailored it more to what he does well. But I can’t argue with what you’ve been saying about Arch as a player, in any way really. Crap offensive play calling or not, there are things he should be doing that even in a stale offense would work well with even mildly average quarterback play.
  4. Arch and the system/Sark are two different convos. Arch, specifically, is playing the QB position at a woefully bad level despite having three NFL level WR’s around him. He’s making head scratching QB plays that are 7th grade level, and he’s not processing and he’s also been bad in the pocket this year. Throwing the ball beyond the LOS 2 times in a game - never seen that before on any level of football. Doing that in back to back games - never seen that before. His melt down is among the worst I’ve ever seen. That’s not putting all the offensive woes on him, but a lot of it is. Without quality QB play, an offense has zero shot. IMO, he’s leaving 125’ish yards on the field every game and 10-14 points . Never seen a fourth year QB not be able to be trusted to check in and out of bad plays, and have command of the offense before.
  5. After the preseason video from Brooks Austin and how we looked in the Florida game, I have zero confidence in our OL. No communication and dudes do not know how or who to block.
  6. Anyone check the transfer portal?
  7. All good answers. I’ve been on and off the boards … hoping to return to video next week full time. But 50-50
  8. That is definitely part of it.
  9. Bobby surreptitiously funded a trip to NYC so Gerry could report on the scrimmage with St. John's. Shhhh. Keep it on the down low.
  10. I’m curious as to your take on Arch. It seems like you think he’s legitimately either just not that good or something is broken to the point that he can’t be fixed. I know I’ve seen some of your takes about him recently on the board but everyone else seems to think it’s our system, which part of that even you agree. But everyone else seems to think just get him away from what Sark has taught him and go to another school and he will be in a system that works with his strengths and we will see 2024 or end of 2025 Arch Manning. Do you think if he doesn’t recover this season it won’t really matter where he goes, that he’s just never really been as good as we liked to believe?
  11. Kyle Flood… I sat here at the beginning of the offseason last year absolutely astounded we kept him around after last years disaster class and somehow someway he is still here. To take this level of our recruiting and going and getting pretty good pieces in the portal to produce another horrible offensive line that is essentially going to end another season, ruin the biggest name in footballs time at Texas and potentially Sarks… is something I hope ignorant Steve realizes was the downfall of his time here at Texas. What an absolute clown show

  13. This kind of clickbait bs is what is wrong with sports media. It has a quote next to pictures of Arch that insinuate Arch is the person being quoted and says in smaller print that it is actually attributed to Ran Carthon. Who the hell is Ran Carthon? A lot of people will read this and feed the other rumors.
  14. I've seen nothing this year outside of Goosby that says this o-line will do anything special tomorrow. That said, this team has a way of winning (despite the o-line) at key times to keep Flood's tenure alive. I'm expecting boom or bust from Arch and we will go as he goes. He may end up disguising more inept line play with his legs tomorrow. If he gets smacked early and starts playing back-yard ball, Flood may survive another year.
  15. Maybe Mario is right? Time will tell.
  16. It's his loins. They were not girded properly for the last few weeks. Therefore he has a loin pull (grade A) and will make the OTF injury report. Listed day-to-day and Bobby will not bring him back too soon and risk permanent "loin" damage. Those are nasty apparently. Causes people to repeatedly walk in circles, mumbling gibberish with corn dogs in each hand. Requires extensive surgery to reverse. SMH...
  17. I just met Bas Rutten in little ol Midway,TX. Nicest guy in the world. Shook my hand said hello and kept it movin! I was star struck 🤣
  18. Gerry is at the doctor with a burning question, you say?
  19. Yeah you would think the Isa Torres acquisition alone would put them in the high Tier 2 low Tier 1 range. Not to mention what they probably spent on retention.
  20. He’s been overeating corn dogs with mayo to cope with this disastrous Texas season so far. He’s backed up
  21. Too much mayo will do that to you.
  22. He's being plugged into Bevo Labs to help Sark make a QB change.
  23. Interesting. Weird to pay people to trash them.
  24. Find it hard to believe Texas is behind the likes of Boston College and NC State in anything NIL related
