DJ all the way. Changed our defense’s trajectory in the early 00’s. -

Tough choice. All were good, DJ was great, Applewhite is under appreciated, and Ehlinger was fun to watch. -

Well, sure, in retrospect. From a fans perspective, there are some limiting factors regarding our knowledge. NIL. They had a good grasp on the two deep. So how much cash do you have for that extra guy? It’d also seem a guy like Agbo is a type you could get. Was he flat out told there’s no room or did he not like the options? The past two years we’ve played basically six guys until injuries hit. We’re not willingly reaching into our depth. Outside of QB, we use backups in all places but Oline. We’ve largely operated with 7 guys the past two years. Similar for 3 and 4 years ago. The 3rd Tackle, the 3rd Guard are likely to operate either on the right or left side. In the 4 years, we haven’t gone more than 8 deep to speak of. I’d wager this staff has had few years in which they go deeper and rarely hit that 11th guy. If you’re a transfer and aren’t one of the top 3, you aren’t getting much playing time. If you’re an upperclassman and sitting down the depth chart, you will struggle to ever see the field in future years particularly if we have younger guys in front of you. If you can’t offer playing time or presumably cash, what are you offering to incentivize a guy to provide depth? And you haven’t gotten to the discussion point that your freshman lineman that you believe are the future are slowed from a development standpoint because their reps are more limited. Options are going to be limited. Resources and opportunities limited. And it may impact your roster in a negative sense for guys you believe have a better future. The depth people desire probably hasn’t existed since scholarships became limited. -

That may be true but he's still the most annoying, arrogant and for sure not as clever a poster on these boards as he thinks he is. -
It’s the same argument people make about getting a top seed in the NFL - rest vs rust. I think last year was an anomaly and Texas gets to the national title game last season if they had beaten Georgia in the SEC championship. The extra week of rest would’ve helped them more than playing an extra postseason game. Being on the other side of the bracket means they would’ve faced Notre Dame, then Penn State, and instead of Ohio State in the Final Four, you get them in the national championship game.

Sure maybe. I think Sark is the playcaller, but Flood definitely runs things when it comes to outside of playcalling. It's impossible for Sark to run the team as the HC and be the OC at the same time. I'm not sure it's just a title for pay purposes. But if it is, then I'm happy to be wrong on that. -

I don’t know CTJ but I appreciate the passion if not the delivery. Objectively, CJ has a long way to go in his reporting. It’s rarely nuanced and imo he blurs his opinion and sourced information in his delivery. At times, conflating the two. This is observational not critical. It’s impressive that he’s done so well this early into his career but his style strikes me as someone that thinks they’ve arrived versus being on the curve. He also seems selective with whom he responds but that again comes with experience. Interacting effectively with an audience can be as important as the information being delivered. I hope behind the scenes he is absorbing all he can from the eclectic group he is with because there’s a ton of wisdom to be gained. All CJ had to do was what Bobby, leading by example, did and include a plausible option as to why the changes took place in the initial post. This is not for any one poster’s sake but we all gain from a thoughtful or thorough article. Again, experience matters. Not dumping on the dude and I believe he has the talent to get there if he has the willingness to learn/grow. I do think CJT took the article way too literally and since he is apparently well connected, knows there is a limitation as to what is known but also to what “can” be shared. I absolutely get his frustration with the canned phrases and asleep at the wheel replies. He was seeking clarity and got magic 8 ball replies. It has to be frustrating having real skin in the game when most only have skin on a keyboard. Kudos to Bobby for the context and perspective. I really like him giving CJT is due without selling out team or being defensive as most other site mods(people?) would. We all benefit when we listen to understand vs waiting to respond. And, 💯 on 🎯 about counterproductive. TL;DR 🤘🏽 -
