  1. Past hour
  2. Bottom line is we are in a completely broken system. CFP commitee has no real guidelines Scheduling us not equal team to team, conference to conference Signing day in the middle of coaching carousel Portal opens as playoffs start Coaches and players being poached basically year round It is what it is
  3. I do think this season helps the guys prepare for the strength of schedule next year
  4. I’m going to laugh my ass off when Kiffin goes to LSU then bolts for Bama a month later.
  5. I'd rather win vs Ohio St or Georgia in December/January than September
  6. I think the only chance is if committee ranks us ahead of OU and ND, which they ought to do given our superior wins and head to head domination of OU. If that doesn't happen this week then we won't be in the playoff, and CDC needs to immediately cancel all difficult OOC games on future schedules.
  7. Gonna depend on a lot of teams personnel. LSU is gonna be a tough environment. Hope we aren’t their opener. With how sark should be attacking the portal and 2nd year arch, I’m optimistic
  8. I’d rather be in the playoff with a chance to host a playoff game.
  9. Yes but that’s a lot of new coaches. Also tough to say before portal madness. Home games should be manageable. To make the playoff have to lose no more than two of: Ohio State, Oklahoma, and the four road games. Not easy.
  10. I hope they do, for selfish reasons. It would suck for the players who worked their tail off all year.
  11. Can’t punish the players because of coaches decisions.
  12. If Georgia beats Alabama and Tech beats BYU only one spot would be open. Who does the committee like: Vanderbilt, Utah, BYU, Miami or Texas. Each team has had a win over a playoff team in contention. If BYU loses to Tech they only have Utah and Utah would only have BYU(doubt Cincinnati would be ranked). Vanderbilt and Miami are the two teams likely to knock Texas out. Vanderbilt would only have Tennessee and maybe Mizzou if they are ranked and Miami would only have ND. However, Vanderbilt is getting much love with Pavia and is possible heisman winner. With the way Vanderbilt is playing and Pavia in the heisman talk I would not doubt Vanderbilt gets the last spot even though Texas beat them. Just like 2008 with OU playing in Big 12 Championship even though Texas beat them.
  13. Meanwhile lame duck Eric Morris is coaching North Texas vs Tulane and Sumrall, who may or may not coach the game, for an automatic bid. What a joke.
  14. CDC is not going to cancel a home game against osu or Michigan the year after. If he does anything it will be the year after that, but with a 16 team playoff looming a 9-3 record will get you in.
  15. Duke wins ACC, Troy wins Sun Belt. Icing on cake if Boise wins MWC. Duke would be 8-5 and the others 9-4 vying for final auto bid. Then what if BYU wins Big 12 and UGA wins SEC? Bama gets left out? This is the CFP breaker scenario. SEC and Big 10 would form their own playoff moving forward.
  16. On its face, yes it is clearly a harder schedule overall. But context matters. Everyone thought OU’s schedule was borderline impossible this year, but they faced a bunch of overrated bums. We are lucky that we will face so many first-year coaches. My big question is how well we load up in the portal. If we can beef up the LOS on both sides of the ball and fill some key gaps, I really like our chances.
  17. Absolutely! When dates of these games are played and when bye weeks will be could make it even more difficult but this is what joining the SEC gives us. Love the Ohio State game and the 9 game SEC schedule. Let’s go!!
  18. good, he is not a DE, not a SDE. he is not fast enough or dynamic enough imo
  19. I wonder if the committee is going to do to ole miss what they did to FSU a few years ago
  20. yes, be 10-2 and now we can go play ohio state in the playoffs. but we would be in.
  21. Hopefully Sark will open up all positions to competition and bring in a bona fide badass RB. I know he loves his guys, but Baxter just isn’t the same after his injury.
  22. yes, its about the # of losses, not who the wins and losses are to. glad you understand
