Quinn obviously should have followed the Carson Beck path and did a year at another school. But I'm selfishly glad he didn't so that we don't have any conflict in remembering him as a Longhorn.

The Quinn slide makes sense. Never had a fully healthy season and inconsistent play across the board. Add that to his mechanics needing work, teams probably know they can wait until late and take a flyer on him. -

I have mixed feelings on Cam. For him, he should have stayed in school. For Texas, who do we lose if he stays another year? -

Great measurables but put some bad tape out there. Should have come back for another year. -

JMO...but I really think the NFL has gone to 4 tool QBs. Quinn is ONE TOOL. He can pass from the pocket...delivery is a little low, but that aside, when the play breaks down, he tripps over tacklers on the ground, not great at passing on the run, and his running ability is that he doesn't have any running ability. Love the guy...but I'm not sure he even gets drafted, which is a big time bummer. OTOH, the guy I wanted out of HS, Klubnik, will likely be a first round pick next year He can: 1) pass from the pocket 2) escape from the pocket 3) throw on the run when he escapes from the pocket 4) if the DBs respect that pass on the run TOO MUCH, then he can run...and HE FAST Not real sure where Quinn goes from here if he's not even drafted. I hate even thinking about it -

So draft a QB with a history of injuries to backup a QB with history of injuries. Excellent idea -
Quinn neeeds to do what GH suggested after the Georgia game….. basicly he need to work Day n night … every waking moment catching chickens w bare hands…..key west like lacks foot quickness in pocket Hard worker…. Smart… led us to 2 playoffs on feet that ranked in my opinion 3 out of 10 pocket presence….. get those feet to 7 and he could be a 10 yr backup or starter on right team feet quickness is his limiting factor …. Note : my kw interpretation of what gh wrote

Dak is likely to get hurt; seems to happen every year. Dallas needs a QB to backup. Jerry likes cheap QBs. Quinn is a local SLC kid. Draft Ewers, Jerry. Stop thinking and just do it.
