  1. Past hour
  2. Fun watching them lose for sure… but we’re about to be the #1 seed in baseball and I think we all know we are not bulletproof at this point. This could be us in a couple weeks, so let’s chuckle but not stack up the karma too too much lol
  3. You can't make up any Aggy jokes that are more Aggy than reality...🤣
  4. Tiger. 24
  5. First girls softball 1 seed to choke in sub regional?
  6. Aggies must hate Kyle Umlang with a passion, he's always posting stuff like this. Love the guy.
  7. At least they have the shared sec title from a game that was cancelled
  8. Pooooor Aggies!
  9. Today
  10. The #1 seed has been tossed at home by Jerry Falwell University.
  11. It can’t get any worse for them, right?
  12. LMAO that's just too good!
  13. My wife and I were discussing this today. I've been watching this post-season format for almost 30 years and I always assumed home teams just alternated "home" and "away" with each successive game, but I heard something on the UT softball radio broadcast today that indicated otherwise. @Jeff Howe, do you know?
  14. Who is youngest to win a career grand slam?
  15. I repeat, don’t choke Liberty!
  16. Thinking a bit about this I thought several others had done it so did a little research. Here are a couple of lists, copied from this article If we focus only on 1900 and after, here are the youngest golfers to win a third major: (ten guys) 21 years old — Gene Sarazen 23 years old — Jack Nicklaus, Jordan Spieth 24 years old — Tiger Woods, Bobby Jones 25 years old — Rory McIlroy 26 years old — Seve Ballesteros, Gary Player, Peter Thomson 27 years old — Tom Watson Here are the youngest players to win three majors since 1934 (seven up to age 26, including current players Spieth (2nd youngest) and McIlroy) Jack Nicklaus, age 23: Nicklaus' third major was won when he was 23 years old, at the 1963 PGA Championship. He'd previously won the U.S. Open in 1962 (also his first PGA Tour win) and The Masters in 1963. He went on to win 15 more majors for a total of 18. Jordan Spieth, 23: Less than a week from turning 24, Spieth won the 2017 British Open for his third. Having already won Masters and U.S. Open titles, Spieth thus joined Nicklaus as the only golfers to win three different pro majors before turning 24. Spieth is still searching for his fourth. Tiger Woods, age 24: The 2000 U.S. Open (the one Tiger won by 15 shots) was Woods' third win in a major. He'd previously won the 1997 Masters and the 1999 PGA Championship. He went on to win 12 more majors for 15 total. Rory McIlroy, age 25: Having previously won U.S. Open and PGA Championship titles, McIlroy notched major victory No. 3 at the 2014 British Open. Just a few weeks later he added his fourth with another PGA crown, but he's been stuck on four major wins since that year. Seve Ballesteros, age 26: Seve just missed getting his third while still 25. He won the 1983 Masters two days after turning 26. He won another two after that for five total. Gary Player, age 26: The Black Knight won his third major at 26, as well, but was older than Seve. Player was 26 years, 8 months old at the time he won the 1962 PGA Championship. He went on to win another six majors, giving him nine total. Peter Thomson, age 26: Thomson was about a month shy of his 27th birthday when he won his third Open Championship title in 1956. He won five total, all at The Open.
  17. I don't think I ever saw someone so completely demolish the competition on the last day of a major on a day when he couldn't hit a single fairway on the front nine.
  18. That stat should also include winning 15 tournaments and three majors before 28. Those aren’t the only ones to win three majors before 28 .
  19. OK…..I’m a die hard Longhorn fan first and foremost. Football first then basketball, baseball then lady’s basketball, softball and everything else. My wife (who’s also a TexasEx) has fully accepted every Saturday each fall will revolve around watching Longhorn Football. After that, it’s the Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavs (welcome Cooper Flagg), Dallas Stars (great win last night) and Dallas Cowboys (no chance we get to another SB till JJ sells our Cowboys). Love watching the four golf majors and pull for our Longhorn alums like SS today (clutch back 9 for the win for Scottie after rough start today). That pretty much sums up my sports interests until 2024. I fully acknowledge never caring one bit about watching the WNBA till last season when CC made it interesting every game after debuting with her dynamic passing, logo 3s and the whole “WNBA against CC jealousy tour” the way she handled all the hate with such class, rising above it all. My 10yr old son loves to play basketball and last season he got into watching the women’s game after we watched the women’s ncaa tournament run by CC and Iowa before they hit the Dawn Staley buzz saw in the finals. We never thought one minute about the Indiana Fever, why would we? Then the Fever get CC #1 in the draft. What? Now we root for the Fever in our home. That’s crazy and makes no sense. So many moments last season of the ‘old guard’ showing hate to the new face of the league (left off the 2024 Olympic team looks completely ridiculous in hindsight, all the intentional and obvious efforts by other players to injure CC on the court in non-basketball moves, the one by Carrington with DC shoving her nails in CC’s eye being the most blatant). CC just kept grinding, never got sucked into the BS drama. It’s inspiring and impressive. So yesterday afternoon marked the Fever’s 2025 season kickoff against Angel and the Chicago Sky. It was awesome. The Fever are flat out fun to watch, the pace, fluid ball movement, logo 3s, passionate fans. They blew out the Sky by 35 points (93-58) in by far the most lopsided game of the wnba opening weekend. Like the Lakers of the 80s or the Warrior after Steph Curry took over, it’s fun and impressive to watch whether you’re a fan or not. On her individual performance, Caitlin Clark casually went out and scored a 3rd triple double (20-10-10) in her very short professional career (note: after her next triple double, CC will be tied for 2nd most triple doubles in wnba history 😳). The moment she blocked Angel’s layup with a subtle shove to the floor in the 3rd quarter was awesome as a less-than-subtle notice to the league that it’s a new season and she’s not gonna be pushed around or intimidated this year. The next 3 months are typically quiet for sports in our home after the NCAA World Series, NBA and NHL playoffs…. but not anymore. We’ve got WNBA and Year 2 of Caitlin Clark / Indiana Fever to get us through the summer. Gitty up!!
  20. Jordan Spieth has won the Masters and US Open (2015) and the British Open (2017). He is listed as born in 1993 so he was well under 28, right? I think Rory McElroy had four by that age (not going to look it up, but sounds right).
  21. Only Jack & Tiger had three Majors by age 28 ! Scotties living in rarified times right now!
  22. Does Berymon and Guervil play the same position? I thought Berymon would be over the ball player.
  23. He is unbelievable.
  24. Yesterday
  25. Good news on Guervil, great coverage of Florida this week Gerry
