Arch came to Texas in hopes of being developed as a pro quarterback. He basically could have gone anywhere. Sark has always prioritized pocket passers in his programs. My guess is Sark would not part ways with Arch as it would mean he couldn’t develop him like he promised when he recruited him. I for one am all in for Arch using his legs more and Sark calling quicker passes. However, Sark prides himself on development. Not just at the quarterback position but all positions. That’s what brings elite high school players. Getting developed and going pro.

Exactly! Texas was up 17-7. 17 to 7. Never would have thought we would have blown that lead. As so many have said, we gave them that game. I think that is what hurts the most. If it was a tight game the whole time like in 08, I could accept the loss. But knowing Texas was the better team and just messed around until they scored enough points to win is the worst.

What happened with his brother and Texas? I remember he never really considered coming to Texas. Was it a lack of interest on his part or did something happen.

1. Miami-It would be awesome to see UT play the Hurricanes in Coral Gables. Whether a day or night game, the build up to the game would be amazing. 2. Death Valley (Clemson) -Another great game between these two would be awesome. This time around, Texas would go to their stadium at night. 3. Florida State-I use to love to hear the war chant back in the 90s. Albeit the Seminoles are not the same team as back then, would love to see the Horns play and win in that awesome setting.

So was the injury a result of contact or was there no contact? How does a bone bruise actually occur?

I have asked about Hicks on a couple occasions in the Tuesday chat. I also have had high hopes for Mr. Hicks. Both times, Gerry’s response led me to believe it’s foot speed/quickness that is holding him back. CJ just confirmed what Gerry has been reporting.

If Easton stays consistent with his communication with the staff and remains committed up until December, it is just hard to imagine him flipping at the last second. I know anything is possible these days.

Honestly, I hope he does take this all the way to the first national signing day. As of right now, LSU feels they are going to flip him. It’s a matter of when and not if. This means their pressure has not hit full throttle yet. If he can get to December without flipping, then he can sign with Texas and get out of town without dealing with all the backlash from friends, teammates and probably some family members. I’m sure he will make enough in NIL to relocate his mother and siblings if they want to be closer. I hope his agent has talked with him and his family about being a professional and dealing with the public and fan peer pressure. I could be wrong, but I thought Bobby had mentioned that his agent was the same agent of Cam Coleman. If that is the case, his recruitment will play out respectfully and not end up like some others in the past. Fingers crossed. And happy 17th birthday Easton!

I was always hoping he would reclassify so he would not have to deal with the LSU pressure to stay in state.

I echo Jonathan Brooks. Was the 23 team our best team to win it all? If Brooks had not got hurt, we beat Washington and play Michigan. A.D Mitchell, Worthy and Brooks against that Michigan defense. What if Ewers came back for his final season in 2025? I know he struggled in 2024, but doubt Texas loses to Florida in the swamp and maybe we beat Ohio State on the road. We make the playoffs at least and with the talent we had who know what could have happened.

I saw this yesterday and was surprised that Arch was rated at only 91.

Excited to see the team come together and play as a team. Last year it did not seem like they played that way until the last few games of the year. Hoping to see it from start to finish this year. Arch getting the ball to his playmakers (Coleman, Wingo and Mosley) Running backs finding the holes the oline has created and making people miss in open field. Defense attacking and causing havoc. If the above takes place, think we will be in for a fun and memorable season.

Is Jhadyn Nelson a top recruit? For that many coaches to go and visit him, it seems he is of high priority. Is he the same level of LB prospect as Gouda?

So true. The run game was working but both Baxter and Blue put the ball on the ground. That made Sark not trust the run at times. I don’t recall Brooks ever having that issue. What could have been!
