  1. Past hour
  2. yeah dude, it was nuts...the parties they would have there were insane. We would drive from Austin there just to go get extra rowdy.
  3. I was there I think 2 years after the name change? The upperclassmen still referred to it as SWT. I remember seeing a shirt that said Some Hook Em. Others Gig Em. We Outdrink Em!
  4. A strong collection of G5 schools. A real bummer for Oregon State and Washington State that this happened but a solid West Coast / Western US conference they’ve put together.
  5. Also lived in El Paso as a teen. My hatred for Aggies is on multiple levels lol
  6. Texas State will always be SWT to me. The lawlessness that was there was glorious.
  7. Is it in their bylaws that you have to a "State" to get in?
  8. I was a freshman there for their run to the semis in 2005. (Shout out Barrick Neely and OC Tom Herman (🤢)). I was hoping Bailiff could build something but he went to Rice and it's been mediocrity ever since. I love the vibe that Kinne has brought in, I just hope he isn't using it as a stepping stone to a bigger job. I'd get it if he did eventually, they just need some prolonged sustainability
  9. Funny enough, if Texas State had turned down Pac-12 membership, the league was probably going to go after New Mexico State.
  10. I did, I like Jake and couldn’t think of another center off the top of my head.
  11. Texas State CB Khmari Terrell, who attended Killeen Shoemaker, just left the field with an injury. Lowell Galindo, who I'm sure has looked at a map of the state of Texas, said, "Killeen, just south of the Metroplex." Yeah. I'd say it's pretty freakin south of the Metroplex.
  12. When Kinne took the job, he inherited years of incompetence in the athletic department. Texas State didn't get serious about football until the new president came in a few years ago. They're not where they want to be, but thank goodness they're not where they used to be.
  13. Strange x3. PK is out but you keep Flood, Banks and Jackson.
  14. Honestly, I’m surprised TxSt hasn’t been able to put together a solid team. central Texas, awesome campus, business school honestly isn’t horrible. You’d think they would work their way up into being somewhat relevant.
  15. that’s a lot of “State”s!! 🤘
  16. It's a fun game to play, trying to remember which G6 schools are in which conference. Conference USA is the most wheels-off league in terms of membership.
  17. That’s wild I forgot about that
  18. FWIW, the Texas game will be Texas State's first as a member of the Pac-12. The Pac-12 football members in 2026 will be: Boise State, Fresno State, Colorado State, San Diego State, Utah State, Texas State, Oregon State and Washington State.
  19. Texas State leads Rice in the third quarter, 24-7, after Brad Jackson's second touchdown pass of the game.
  20. Did you really just mention Jake Majors in the same breath as Dan Neil and Casey Studdard? Shame on you.
  21. As a long-suffering Cowboys fan, Patrick Crayton Jr. quarterbacking Rice in this game doesn’t make me feel any younger.
  22. Today
  23. I would first keep Pete Rose out of the Hall of Fame. Then, I would take Baugh.
  24. baddest left guard on the market
