  1. Past hour
  2. It is year 5, Sark has his guys. He has elite talent, he has an elite defense, he has to coach better on offense, particularly in the red zone in games against elite teams. Simple as that. That said, I am not going to use the first game of this season as an example against the other games he used. We were MUCH more experienced last year across the board, so Georgia x2 and Ohio State last year are different categories to me. But they still make his point. To me, we need to see where this offense is as the season progresses before I hold yesterday against him.
  3. I really don’t think “Texas fans” are piling on Arch NEARLY as much as the outside world. It truly is insane and illogical. The build up tear down cycle that Gerry has mentioned is in full effect. Never mind that Arch did pretty much just as well as any QB that faced Ohio State last year. He had ugly passes, yes. He also did have some spectacular plays. And he didn’t mess up so much that we were completely out of the game. Idiots out there are acting like this was the worst showing ever while simultaneously glorifying Ohio State’s defense. There is no logic to the sports entertainment business these days. Hating on athletes is the ultimate money maker, unfortunately. Lauding one team or player only gets you an audience with that team or player’s fans. Hating on a team or player gets you an audience with the fans of the other 120+ teams.
  4. I’m this way … 1. Ohio State - defending NC earned it 2. Miami 3. ND 4. LSU 5. Clemson 6. Texas - have to get more from Arch
  5. Yes like LaDainian Tomlinson and Priest Holmes back in the day
  6. 1. Ohio State 2. LSU 3. Miami 4. Notre Dame 5. Texas 6. Clemson
  7. Ehhhhhhh our QB wer the bed. Getting run on consistently isn't a winning gameplan
  8. Why? It worked, they won.
  9. I like the over the top that close to the goal line. It's so easy and all it takes is a short reach and jump. Way better than lowering head and hoping to get in especially when Ohio State packed 4 guys over our G-C-G.
  10. How would you rank them? LSU OHio State Miami Notre Dame Clemson Texas
  11. That's a pretty bad one lol
  12. Yes, but he included the NFL. I have no problem with it if that wasn’t part of the breakdown.
  13. He’s not wrong until proven otherwise
  14. Sark has one weakness and we all know it- goal line. I think his issue right now is he’s not trusting our backs enough to run power. I do think we’re more capable of it this year than we were last year. We need to line up under center with two fullback/TEs in the backfield and see what C4 can get us. Or run play action out of that. We have that Cowboy back coach, let’s freaking use him. C4 got us from the 3 yd line to the 1 yd line. Sark didn’t trust him from the 1 yd line to the EZ. I would have much rather seen C4 try for it with some lead blockers and get stuffed rather than that pathetic QB sneak
  15. The problem is Neto hasn’t played fullback. That was the line of thinking against OU at the goal line with Murphy and Sweat. There are still fundamentals and position know how to evolve. Arch has to learn the rhythm of the QB sneak, if he takes a beat slower and goes to the left at tOSU, that’s a TD.
  16. Arch had guys open and passes to be made. Ryan Day basically did the same thing with Julian Sayin. Each of those games Sark had plays and put his team in position, at some point players make plays.
  17. A) He’s a douchebag B) he’s not wrong C) Maybe he should be more worried about his team’s rush defense.
  18. Guy is an alcoholic clown , should probably quit drinking and just stfu.
  19. Putting aggy in that group is the joke. We will score much more than that on them this year. They gave up 24 to UTSA or to them ASTU. Typical free rent in Loser Lucci's head.
  20. Can we just take Notre Dame's redzone offense? Seems to work for them... 😅
  21. I get your point. You're saying his performance was worse than off, i.e. really bad to terrible. 17 of 30 with one TD and one INT isn't really bad or terrible. He made six or seven bad throws. I watched LeNorris Sellers play earlier today and he made more than a dozen bad throws. His team won because they were playing Virginia Tech rather than Ohio State. He won't be blasted in the media or by his fanbase.
  22. I think you missed my point....there is an off performance and whatever that was yesterday was far worse than an off performance.
  23. Until or unless it's repeated a few times, it's an off performance. We've seen Arch's fundamental footwork and throwing mechanics, and we saw it at times yesterday. That doesn't simply disappear because of half a dozen throws in one game. Given that Arch has been fundamentally sound for years, it seems more likely that this game was the outlier, not the years leading up to it.
  24. If Arch is the qb and leader we think he is, no way this performance sits well with him. I'm excited as to what comes next from him.
  25. I can't stand A&M or Liucci, but he cooked with this take imo. Where are the 40+ ppg offenses we saw from him as the OC at Alabama? Based on the concerns about not having any touchdown makers on this offense, that won't change this season and probably next season unless they find guys like that in the portal. Gotta see how the offense looks after Red River and go from there, but most likely, the red zone and short yardage issues will continue. Maybe he starts taking the 3 points if we're lucky.
  26. But lets be honest about yesterday, there is an off performance then there is whatever that was IMO.
