  1. Past hour
  2. So we should be worried about Florida because they have talented starters but so do we....I understand being "worried" about them but your team now has experience in a hostile environment against great competition. I think the boys will be fine, as long as they execute and be more disciplined. Plus if Ohio State was meant to have this great OL, are we saying Florida has a better one? They have better WR's? They might have a better RB, I'll give them that. Do they have superior LB's and DB's? I'm all for respecting an opponent but this team has already been through a tough road game against a great opponent. If they get rattled on the road against Florida, then they don't deserve to be in the SEC title game or in the playoffs.
  3. I am right there with you on florida. Sunbelt Billy will find a way to go 9-4 at best with them.
  4. DMoore, Wingo, Wisner
  5. If you're speaking from a Texas POV, I'd say you're going to find out a lot these next three weeks. Sark is going or will want to get Arch good looks of route concepts against live and different coverages. Who and what concepts Arch looks and feels most comfortable throwing will tell who is scoring the TDs.
  6. 5th at worst. close game on the road against defending national champs yo
  7. Road game, SEC. Tough game, expect it.
  8. Yesterday
  9. Who is scoring the touchdowns on this team? Not an overreaction, the dust has settled… just a question
  10. Agree with this. He clearly likes the big city and just got a fat extension. It’s almost all downside there. They need one more coach to purge their entitlement. Their next guy will be a defensive guy because seeing crappy defense guts their souls after having the GOAT.
  11. Georgia beating a Marshall team where nearly everyone transferred out and Oregon beating Montana State really isn't an accomplishment to be above Texas with a single touchdown loss to OSU. A touchdown that was an extremely lucky bounce. Texas lead in passing, rushing, and receiving yards. Endries had one receiving yard more than Carnell Tate. That's a better loss than a Phil Knight purchased team overrunning a school I didn't know existed. Anyway, Ohio State lost to Oregon last year in the regular season on Will Howard's error then beat them later in the Rose Bowl to face Texas and won the national championship as the 8th seed.
  12. Gotta at least split the Miami and LSU games, then pull an upset over Texas or Aggy and run the table from there to have a shot. Won't happen because they won't beat Georgia and Mississippi is probably a loss too so 8-4 at best. That's only if Lagway stays healthy.
  13. LSU harassed Cade all night, Miami don't have world beaters but they're good enough, Lagway may not even make it to Texas.
  14. Arch was playing in his first big road start matching wits with an NFL DC that he had no good way to gameplan for. OSU has some of the best defensive personnel in the country. Arch flat out missed throws. JJ flat out dropped passes. There's not really a qualitative difference.
  15. Arch’s worst plays were very bad (Uncle Rico esque). Smith’s worst plays were just bad. Smith is a true sophomore and Littleton is (maybe) the best freshman DB in the country. Not that crazy. Littleton very clearly made a great play. The pass was also put in a spot that made it difficult to catch.
  16. That’s a big if about them coming into our game undefeated. They have the hardest schedule in the country until then. It’s not certain that they will come out of next weekend undefeated, much less be undefeated in October. And if they are undefeated when we play them, they will probably have used up a lot of energy and possibly depth in hard fought games and be due for a loss.
  17. I think Florida would have been better off this year if they didn’t get all those upsets towards the end of the year. That just gave those teams more reason to want to beat them 😂
  18. To be clear, Arch is an amateur working his way to the pros. Did Arch miss wide open TDs? What about JJ's inability to create separation and consistently provide a good target? I mean, he couldn't beat a true freshman playing his first game. Convincing the demos doesn't count for much. This is empirical evidence.
  19. I think you’re gonna have a pretty hard time convincing anyone that Smith’s drops were as ugly or detrimental as Arch’s off passes in the early part of the game. If Smith would have dropped a long bomb for sure TD, a la Johntay Cook vs MState, that would have made waves. The drops he did have I’m sure annoyed Ohio State fans and I’m sure they think they would have blown us out if he would have just caught those, but they were fairly ho hum. Arch looked like a real amateur out there on his worst plays. There’s a difference
  20. Speaking of Florida. yikes
  21. This would be a pretty good time for them to try to make a run at Dabo, with Klubnik done after this season. But Bama probably doesn’t want a guy that has had defensive struggles in the very recent past.
  22. Bad throws are bad throws, but the drops were unforced errors too. For JJ, that was three out of ten. For Arch is was seven out of thirty.
  23. It’s not worse than Arch’s Uncle Rico throws, skipping balls off the turf. We did a good job defending Smith. Many of Arch’s misses were pretty unforced.
  24. We had two drives with red zone snaps. One drive saw one RB run on 6 red zone plays (gain of 2 yards with 3 yards to gain). The other drive saw one RB run on 5 red zone plays (gain of 3 yards with 6 yards to gain). Those are successful runs. Also, every time we ran a RB on 3rd and short (non goal line), we gained a first down. There’s been a lot of talk about Ohio State keeping things in front of them, but there is no way Ohio State wasn’t trying to stop the run on 3rd and short or was content to allow successful runs inside of the redzone. If that was part of the gameplan, that’s problematic. We had a lot of failed conversions on 3rd and short due to inaccurate passes, and a lot of drives stall from getting into 3rd and long because of inaccurate passes (thus not having the opportunity to run on 3rd and short). The lack of attempts for our RBs in the RZ and opting to pass on 3rd and short rather than run it until they prove they can stop it on 3rd and short is what I would call abandonment. But other than one failed, poorly conceived, half assed 4th down conversion attempt on the first drive, we pretty much ran the ball at will with our RBs.
  25. One thing we're not hearing is that JJ's three drops were just as bad or worse than Arch's seven bad throws. That's two bad games in a row against Texas. Doesn't seem like the best player in CFB stuff. Certainly not the same level of scrutiny.
  26. I’m more concerned with Arch’s footwork and literally completing easy passes than I am the final score.
  27. I’m not sure I have the heart for this after last week lol.
