  2. @mathew Philadelphia does not have a public statue for Kobe because their fans flip the bird to Jesus and Santa Claus, making them the word's worst sports city in the history of civilization.
  3. Someone got their Air Force 1s stepped on. Doesn’t take much to set kids off these days since they grew up without spankings.
  4. Any details what led to the shooting?
  5. Interesting take. However, if Cozart does become a starter that takes him out of that role for any of the three weekend games that are close in the late going. Can those three you suggested handle 3 games over the weekend? Tough decision even if he can handle being a starter. Also, none of our starters appear to be able to throw a complete game against good competition and that is what is remaining. I have not been very happy with Riojas or Harrison for a while either and no doubt Schlossnagle and Wiener feel the same way. I assume they have been trying to use some of these other pitchers too to get a better idea of when and how they could make some changes. They definitely do it with the lineup in the field and the batting order. Maybe you're right and it is time to take Cozart out of the bullpen. I would probably put him in Riojas' spot if I did it.
  6. Yes, May 2001 Kobe Bryant would likely defeat May 1985 Michael Jordan in a one-on-one game when they were both 22 years old.
  7. Kobe Bryant from 2006 would defeat 2017 Stephen Curry in a half-court, one-on-one game. While Stephen Curry remains the greatest shooter in basketball history, the structural design of one-on-one favors Kobe Bryant's overwhelming physical advantages, elite individual isolation defense, and historic mid-post repertoire.
  8. Kobe Bryant's performance in May and June 2001, particularly during the NBA playoffs and Finals, is widely regarded as his ascension to the best player in the world. The 2001 Los Angeles Lakers would likely defeat the 2018 Golden State Warriors in a seven-game series due to their historical postseason dominance (15-1) and the lack of any viable defensive matchup for prime Shaquille O'Neal.
  9. NEVER call yourself a Boomer on this board, sir!!!

  12. If we play the Aggies, I expect at least three conspiracy theories before the third inning.

  14. “There’s optimism that Ahmad Hardy will play football again.” Sounds pretty serious. I truly hope he has a speedy and complete recovery.
  15. That’s terrible. Hardy ran for 1600 last year for Missouri and was set to be one of the best backs in the country entering the season. How sad a situation
  16. Wow! Really sad. Hope he has a speedy recovery.
  17. https://x.com/i/status/2053832375994298554 Sad news. Hope the young man recovers.
  18. By the way, AI says Kobe is better than any athlete who ever played for Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Oklahoma. They say Roger Clemens and Earl Campbell from Texas are questionable. I don't agree, but it's at least close.
