  1. Past hour
  2. Jonah is taking too many good pitches early in his at bats, getting behind, and having to bat defensively
  3. He's been great! But (1) to reach our ceiling, we need to get Livingston going and (2) Jim only likes Larson against RHPs
  4. ARod grounds out to third. Horns lead 2-1 after seven complete.
  5. Larson could transition to a full-time DH role once Jonah Williams is fully healthy
  6. Mendoza walks. Pack still at second with two outs for Adrian Rodriguez.
  7. Pack fielder’s choice to 2B. Temo out at second. Duplantier to third with two outs. Scores on passed ball! Horns lead 2-1.
  8. @AndyLufkin appreciate the play-by-play coverage!
  9. Thank God they're going to the pen. Great performance from that guy.
  10. Temo single to right but Duplantier holds up at second. MSU starter’s day is done with 93 (I think) pitches. Righthander #41 in to pitch.
  11. After ball one to Becerra, MSU makes a mound visit. No pitching change yet.
  12. It early in the season so we’ll see how they progress. We have some guys that can leave the yard. Alot of these arms we have maybe we won’t have to score that many per game
  13. Larson draws a seven-pitch walk. Duplantier in to run. One out in B7. MSU starter at 88 pitches.
  14. 3 up 3 down. Texas wins 10-0 run rule after 5. Gutierrez 2 hit shutout. Next game around 6:30 pm central against Santa Clara at Santa Clara.
  15. Borba hits a rocket to 3B but is thrown out. MSU was in the shift. One down.
  16. Let’s see if we can string together a few good ABs against this scrub
  17. A missile! Scouts gotta be loving this. If he can stick behind the plate at the next level, watch out!
  18. Tinney hosed another Spartan on the base paths.
  19. Grubbs strikeout. Tinney another throw out at second to end the threat. Going to the bottom of the seventh still 1-1.
  20. Ehh, Jim and Max had to decide how to rebuild a hollowed out roster. They started with pitching, and our freshmen arms are insane. The position player group is great at the top, but as Jim has repeatedly said, the position player depth is not where he wants it to be. He'll get it there.
  21. Dinger by Atwood deep right center. 7-0 Texas. Stewart walks, Anderson PR. Hit by Martinez thrown out at 2nd, Anderson thrown out home on close play. Altmeyer walks, Wells hitting, 2 run dinger to left by Wells. 9-0 Texas. Another pitching change for Boise. Nickols batting, walks. Hunter PH, walks. 2 on 2 outs Henry 1 RBI double. 10-0 Texas. Goode batting, K
  22. That's the consensus about this team. Staff can compete with anybody, the ceiling will be determined by the offense. It's a long season, we've looked good in all games before this one, Jonah needs to get up to game speed, etc... but still. Outside of Robbins, we've been totally non-competitive against a #2 starter from the Big 10. Not a great day!
  23. Second batter hit by pitch. Pinch runner at first with one out.
