If this game is 21-17, the season outlook is no where close to what it should be and the team is not t hat deep or talented.

Dread-headed Texan replied to Roy Hinojosa's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Last year Wingo was awesome because the focus was on Golden and Bond. He didn't warrant the attention teams are giving him this year. Wingo needs help from Moore, Endries, and I guess now Livingstone. Granted Wingo has to make the plays when they are there, that he hasn't so far. When the other pass catchers prove how dangerous they are or can be too. Oh man it's over. -

More consistent on O, better play from the OL, WR's running better routes and perimeter blocking, TE's more involved. Keep the penalties down. Defensively, let's get after UTEP a bit and let the boys do their thing. Tighten up the coverage and don't get lazy just because you're playing SJSU or UTEP. KEEP.YOUR.FOOT.ON.THE.GAS....sorry..but seriously lol. -

Weekly thread for "Second Watch" with Babers & Howe?
Hesity replied to horns96's topic in On Texas Football Forum
@Rod Babers is there a way to take advantage of corners playing this far off? I just went through every offensive snap and OSU routinely had corners 9-10 yds off. Sometimes I think Sark views his offense as a symphony, where every route is in perfect harmony with one another. But I see corners 10 yard off and I think why not just get the ball to the receiver in space? Step and throw at 1yd and let our guys make a play. Spam it until they change their coverage. It doesnβt always have to be a beautiful symphony. -

Horns, 21-17. No Wisner, no Moore, OL and TE blocking struggles continue with UTEP's pressure. ...and knowing what I know about Sark and injuries after 5 years, I bet Endries and Taaffe are limited as well.

If Texas plays a clean game, theyβll dominate 48-3. If they donβt, itβll be closerβ31-10 or 38-7. Weβll find out soon enough.

Simon. We need an RB that adds extra yards to the play. Maybe he can bring some much needed explosiveness to the position. -
