Agree Paul. I’m buying a lot of stock pre-season on undervalued Longhorn WR /TE. Also, love hearing what’s being said about Tre Wisner for his commitment this spring to ‘take the bull by the horns’, put on some additional healthy muscle while also improving speed training. Perhaps all of Tre’s work this offseason can improve Tre from 4.7 ypc to 5.5 or 6 ypc and his total rushing/receiving yards could grow from 1375 total yards to 1600+ yds. Given what we’ve heard from Sark this week in interviews, he plans to be ultra careful this season with Baxter. I’m betting CJ isn’t at full stride till Nov then we’ll have a crazy 1-2 punch of Tre and CJ with additional support from Clark, Niblett, Baby Rhino, etc. Hook em! 🧡🤘🏼🐂

Yeah we have to let other schools get a few recruits so we have options in the portal in future.

They're about to find out about our Offense.... I'm buying stock in our receiver rooms big time, especially Wingo, and think our TEs will be a surprise as well. I understand why both might not make these kinds of pre-season lists, but I'm pretty sure the list looks different on that side of the ball by end of the year. 🤘

They like having just one camper per school. Last year was an exception for Texas. But basically just QB1's are invited. -

Surprising none of the other Longhorn QBs are counselors. Is it because they don't have enough experience or a big enough name to be there? Are there any other longhorns there supporting Arch, like receivers to catch passes? -

Ranking the 2025 Position Rooms (Thursday AM)
HookemChappy replied to CJ Vogel's topic in On Texas Football Forum
I think the OL is what is going to make or break us on offense. If Arch has no time to get to the deep ball because of protection means we will likely have to run more 12 personnel which would likely keep both TE's in for blocking. If they OL can help the run game then we are putting a lot on Arch's shoulder and some less experienced WR's to carry the load. We go as the OL goes. -

We have made it to Thibodaux, Louisiana! Nicholls State has done some fine renovations since I was here last year. -

Fair point. But there is an all-conference-level player in the room at the very least. -
Hill(2), Simmons(4) and Taaffe(14) on defense Arch(16) only Longhorn on offense Thinking Arch is better than the 4th best QB in SEC. Time will tell. Also, thinking our trio of experienced receivers (Wingo, Mosley, Moore) will prove to be far better than low pre-season ratings. https://apple.news/Aydp_67jaQou5XodApDn3uA

Hey I just posted the info from PFF, I don't have a doggie in the fight. Looking at the QB position it seems to me PFF puts a lot of emphasis on depth and recruiting ranking. Bama, OSU and us all are similar at QB in that we all have 5* newbies we have high hopes for, so why are Bama and OSU ranked slightly ahead of us? In their write up of QB units PFF mentions Bama has TWO 5* guys (even though Russell is a frosh and Simpson hasn't shown much) plus a 4*, and OSU also has two 5's and a 4. Texas? Just one 5* (even though he has played a lot more snaps than the other returning guys and has a higher PFF rating) and two 4's. So I'm interpreting it like PFF puts emphasis on depth (even if unproven), and perhaps too much emphasis on recruiting ranks. For sure I'd rather have Arch over Sayin and Simpson. At RB what PFF sees is a returning thousand yard rusher, a former 5* # 1 RB, two top 10 four stars (Simon and Gibson) and another 4*. Pretty impressive group on paper. What you (and most Texas fans probably) see is Wisner, then a former 5* with a serious injury who may not contribute for months, a 4* (Clark) who is also coming off a serious injury, Gibson who had fumbling issues last year plus two freshmen. You see it as the worst unit on the team; PFF sees it as the third best on the team and the nation ... we'll see. Personally I think our OL has the most unknowns, and I understand why it's PFF's lowest rated unit, after losing four starters. -
He can always transfer back to Texas when the ship finally sinks out there.

USC's track program is pretty damn good and he has his big sis there. Plenty of opportunities in Lincoln Riley's offense... and a lesser talented wr room guarantees he sees the field in a higher capacity sooner. NIL probably bigger. Home is home... but I been to So Cal.... it ain't so bad...🤣🤘🏿

That's where I am with it. Just because a kid chooses elsewhere, it doesn't mean he's trash. The immaturity in some of us comes out when things don’t go our way.... and that's sad.
