If ncaa doesn’t expand the amount of teams in playoffs it will be a very big game and an unnecessary game. Both school should reschedule after the expansion takes place. IMO playing this game with the current format is not a benefit for winning a championship. Schedule a small school and prep for the SEC schedule.

Smothers will be a name by the end of the year if he stays healthy. Brown is pretty much the only proven guy on our team with that level of make you miss. Just hope he doesn’t get Silas Boldened in this offense.

Good post tough I wonder if some coaches are better just below the elite level schools 🤷🏽. I think he is a very good coach and he excels at maximizing his strengths while minimizing his weaknesses. Duh I know but it’s not very common. Right or wrong, he knows what he wants and ensures his team executes to it. He also pivoted well when he saw they couldn’t protect Martinez on obvious passing downs. Great season for him and string start to his Indians tenure. My original 🤮 was about the doting posts and not about Cignetti’s amazing turnaround at a traditionally awful football school. We overly and swiftly crown coaches like him while under appreciating our own damn good coach. Mostly, because we can’t find a guard. Sark deserves criticism for sure. Stubborn, maybe overly loyal, and takes his foot off the gas too often, too soon. I’ve posted on him, and especially flood, more than once but not sure who I trade him for today. Really, not sure who we upgraded over flood and gets probably my biggest gripe. We are “stuck” with him for now it seems. Back to the original point. I guess fawning in general ain’t my thing. I’ve decided that I’m excited for next year regardless of any other portal action. We’ll have enough. Now let’s see our coaches make it happen. 🤘🏽

As others have said, it’s important that this is game 2. Starting the season last year at Columbus was a disaster. The OL, Arch, and the running game were not nearly ready for prime time that early.

Their defense was really, really good this year. They lose a lot of ELITE playmakers. I think we will move the ball on them. I also think Muschamp will have some things ready for them that they haven’t seen. Just like we went into the game against Patricia blind last year, we have a bit of the same advantage since it’s been so long since Muschamp was a DC. I also think home field advantage will make a difference. This feels like a statement game to me.

Robertson coming back is crucial for Arch. Luckily, we have the first warm up game and it's at home.

No idea. This will depend on how quickly all these new faces can be melded into a real team. I think Sark can accomplish this, but it is hard to maintain culture when key pieces and leaders drift off to other teams. It will take much work, but I think we have the substrate to form a championship team.

I feel optimistic about our OL next year. I think we will have a better OL than Indiana had this year, and they really struggled against Miami and still wont the Natty. I just really hope our defense catches on fast to Muschamp's defense. Arch is even going to be better next year. Imagine having a running game as well. We could be dangerous.
