  2. At least he will be teammates with arch in 2027
  3. Tinney says there’s been a lot of growth in the catching unit with Ermis specifically getting more burn at the plate.
  4. One of the reasons I joined this site was because there is a zero politics policy on the sports board. I 100 percent support that stance.... As stated OTF has no control of the adds run by Youtube and to be triggered by them is odd. I have seen them and some are definitely of candidates I would never support. They did not bother me. To answer your other question. Yes I would definitely say that to a persons face. Anyone here that knows me knows I am the exact same person online as in person.... I do not hide behind a screen name. Never have never will. My avi is a pic of me. I attend home games and most road game. Attend Basketball and many baseball games too. Again I do not hide behind a computer.... thanks
  5. Starting rotation will remain the same this weekend: Ruger Riojas on Friday vs. Coastal Carolina Luke Harrison on Saturday vs. Baylor Dylan Volantis on Sunday vs. Ohio State
  6. Not sure, but that should be the blueprint imo. Florida has had quite a bit of success in hoops in the last 40 years for a school that is viewed as a football school. 6 Final Fours, 10 Elite Eights, and 12 Sweet Sixteens is not bad at all. Have to figure out what they are doing from an NIL and roster construction standpoint and implement it at Texas. I think Sean Miller is the right guy from what I have seen this season.
  7. Schloss says Ethan Mendoza is the least “data driven” guy on the team and he loves that about him because it brings out the competitiveness in him to the maximum.
  8. New Jersey is a great place. I grew up there. I'd still be there if it wasn't so cold.
  9. I spent a weekend in Trenton in October. It was sad.
  10. Schloss says there typically has been an adjustment period for Texas teams he’s coached against in the past when moving to a natural playing surface. Says that will be a test this weekend.
  11. Jim Schlossnagle says he made a deal with Casey Borba to grow a ‘stache when the team won five straight. Well, Texas has. Now the Stache is here until there’s a loss.
  12. I think T'Vondre's personality gives him a chance to become a fan favorite wherever he goes. The NY market could be really good for him.
  13. It's the worst. It's the land of meatheads...and Carlos Bakery. I do like a good lobster tail from the bakery.
  14. 100 agree but Saleh is with the titans now so may be better for Sweat in the long run given what he did to the Jets…
  15. Team will leave around 11:30 this morning to trek down to Houston.
  16. I don't wish New Jersey for anyone, sucky place all around.
  17. You are correct, but I was trying to point out a dynamic in many high-stakes legal disputes in college sports, including NIL contracts and buyouts, including the case of Brian Kelly's buyout, LSU attempting to avoid paying the full $54 million. Filing a lawsuit often isn't primarily about recovering the full contractual amount through a trial verdict—it's a tactical move to create leverage, force negotiations, and push for a settlement that both parties can live with.
  18. I met Earl a few years ago around lunchtime on 6th Street back in the early 2000's and watching him walk made me hurt as he seemed like his old injuries were painful and getting worse. He gave and took so much punishment, it's not hard to understand why. He was incredibly nice and we chatted as we walked to our parked vehicles. Earl seemed like a really good dude to be on your team and lead your locker room.
  19. Coastal apparently lost their top 2 starting pitchers for a pretty lengthy amout of time yesterday.
  20. Texas baseball will have a media availability this morning over at the Disch. The Longhorns will depart to Houston for their weekend series this afternoon. A handful of Horns will speak, as will head coach Jim Schlossnagle. Notes and quotes in the comments down below. Weekend Schedule: Friday: vs. Coastal Carolina (7:00 p.m.) Saturday: vs. Baylor (7:00 p.m.) Sunday: vs. Ohio State (2:00 p.m.)
  21. Actually Rashada's lawsuit was the polar opposite - he sued Florida because they lured him away from a $9 million Miami offer with a $13+ million offer and then refused to pay it when he showed up on campus. The others were guys who signed NIL deals and then signed larger NIL deals with other schools and didn't want to pay the buyouts.
  22. Hoping it turns out well for T Sweat but the Jets organization is so disfunctional so I expect them to screw it all up.
  23. Today
  24. The game last night, and comparing our talent level to Florida's, who also is a state school, raises questions of what we are doing compared to what they are doing in the realm of the above?
