I wouldn't say they cheated, but the did play to what the voters like - video game stats. They had offensive gurus and defense be damned, they'll just stack offensive talent and score. To their credit, it worked, however those offensive minds are gone and so is the offensive scheme that produced it. Can Mateer be good? Sure, but I'm in the opinion that he will be average. That's the thing with opinions, it's like arseholes, everyone's got one. Last year couple of years the criminals had been talking about how Jackson Arnold was better than Arch and would win the Heisman. Talk changed real quick a couple of games in.

James Street from Longview. Earl Campbell from Tyler, TX. Throw in Pat Mahomes from Tyler. No other region can compete with that.
-
James was also undefeated for his entire career in football and was a 2 sport star, also has the only perfect game thrown in baseball's history.
-
James Street 20 - 0 as a football starter. Duke Carlisle was 11 - 0 in the same role. Both won Natties. The problem with Mt. Rushmore is there are only four faces.
-
James only won 1 title as a starter.

Doug English with extra credit for his part in the famous sign tradition at El Arroyo, the Austin Tex-Mex restaurant. -
Vince is better than James, Earl I could agree.
-
I understand that. Vince Texas career wasn't better than Earl or James.

Doug English. Trevor Goosby has done zero to be on the list at this time. -
This isn't about NFL or pro careers, this is about at Texas.

Probably in the minority. Don't think Vince is really very close to the greatest Longhorn football player. Earl is the only Longhorn who was the best football player in the world at some point. He's the greatest. James Street is next in terms of winning and championships. Probably thirty or more better than Vince in the NFL. Vince was the best player on the last National Championship team. Doesn't make him better than other Longhorns who performed better in the long term.

Criminal interlopers better stop sniffing the Mateer methane. Didn't perform above average against a single credible team. All we heard last year this time was Arnold has a big arm. Doesn't matter they cheated their way to every title ever claimed. Doesn't matter a single high school district in Texas produces more D1 talent than the whole criminal state. It's QBU. Bunch of fake Heisman trophies and statues down criminal lane. The Kremlin is loaded with statues.

So Ojo is one of the 👋, and A&M (8&4) offered him a good chance at the coveted LT position.
