  5. The tournament was originally supposed to be hosted entirely at Stanford's new $50 million stadium, but ongoing permitting delays with the county forced games to be moved to surrounding local colleges like Santa Clara and West Valley College on short notice. Due to stadium capacity and facility limitations, the tournament officials noted that all three games scheduled at Santa Clara reached a "sold out" status
  6. what is the 10.07 referring to? some time from last year? I remember the 10.17 at the state meet

  10. I am happy to eat crow, But he hasn’t busted a grape here yet.
  11. you're gonna find out soon enough. bishop's gonna play
  12. Well he is a Longhorn. And a freshman. And a playmaker by position….. so it kinda checks out imo. It’s the university of Texas, there are high expectations for everyone that steps on the field to be honest.
  13. No disrespect, Gerry, But I’d pump the brakes with the “Texas longhorn freshman playmaker”. He hasn’t done anything on the field in front of 100k plus in DKR let alone even put on the pads for spring practice. I think we get way ahead of ourselves with expectations for these guys.
  14. It’s ok CJ true love will come to you someday 💀😂😭
  15. Something about the mid QBs
  16. But better than your lover MIDTEER CJ
  17. Texas will face off against Tennessee at Neyland Stadium for its first SEC game of the season in 2026. There was an update to the eligibility for Tennessee QB Joey Aguilar.
  18. I like your thinking. Unfortunately, for non-con, as Jeff said above the default is for run rule in effect, so it takes the opposing coach to agree to remove it as well. And it would be understandable that the red meat we bring in might not agree to overriding the run rule. But we can't control their decision—I just wish Jim would make it clear that from our side we always want to play 9.
  19. I'm excited for this weekend. A step up in competition (including UTRGV on Tuesday). What I'm hoping for: Mostly, more of the same! A great start. Better 1st and 2nd innings. Cleaner defense. (Bunt defense, quicker turns on double plays, better tracking of fly balls) Borba and Livingston starting to produce, or else I'll be hoping for a batting order change. Tinney is a golden spikes watchlist guy, and we've seen what he can do when he gets pitches to hit. Have to find a way to punish teams if they try to avoid him like UCD did. The Jonah wildcard, obviously. Getting to know the depth better—please no run rules. Ideally Crossland, Leffew, Walls, and McKernan all get some outs. For LF - more Monsour, hopefully a look at Pendergrass, maybe even Ermis? And for 1B/DH - hopefully more Ermis, and maybe another AB or two for Courville. Exciting stuff! Hook em!
  20. Seems to me like you might leave the run rule in place Friday to see what happens, then pre-agree to a full 9 on Saturday to make sure everyone gets work in, then the visitor probably wants to get home Sunday so run rule back on?
  21. Keep winning Horns! Excited for March Madness!! https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/page/bracketology/ncaa-bracketology-2026-march-madness-men-field-predictions?appsrc=sc&RuleNumber=1&consent_mode=cpra
