With a brand new secondary coaching staff there is ample room for concern if that is your thing. Taffe is used to proving doubters wrong… no big deal. PK knows how to call adjustments when necessary and his backfield is loaded with talent. I think we will be fine.

Jam Miller Alabama RB…
Fan of the Game replied to Texas fan in Georgia's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Richard Young and Daniel Hill are ready to run. Jam is expected to fully recover and may be available later in the season. Ty Simpson will be able to toss it, but like every SEC team, will need a solid run game to compete for the CFP. The departure of Justice Haynes now looms large for the Tide. -
I tend to agree with this, but Texas as a team could have 10 sacks against Ohio State, and one busted play defensively could undo all of that and cost you the game. Ask TreVeyon Henderson.

As August 30th is right around the corner, I feel like the nickel position is just becoming too much of an overthinking factor into our defense. No i’m not saying it’s not important as it could well be the most important position to play on this defense, I just feel people are too worried about it. Some are claiming Taffe isn’t ready for the challenge, but i say and believe he’s the best guy for it. He is most likely the undisputed leader of not just the defense but the whole team. There’s no one who wants it more than Taffe, so I don’t think adjusting to a new position is going to slow him or our defense down. Plus when our head coach is giving praise to a true freshman that is going to rotate heavily in to get some snaps behind Taffe, what is there to worry about? Lastly it’s hard to worry about any of that when Julian Sayin is going to be pressured by Collin Simmons and E-Burke all game lol.

Big loss for them as I had them going to the SEC championship game. Hope he gets well soon. Even without him, I still think they can beat everyone on their regular season schedule besides Georgia and maybe South Carolina, so I don't think this will have any effect on them making the CFP as a 10-win team. -
Ole Danny boy looks stupid wearing 47 and still looks like a created player on Madden with every accessory in the inventory

Banks is good. Like real good he just collapsed his side and went on to block the backer on the second level. -
Lol! Only reading the tea leaves from what I saw other fans saying. Hope he figures it out. It’s early.

Emmett Mosely V Every play

He'll do better at Texas because he'll have more catch and run opportunities. I like him on third down. Sark knows how to put his guys in position to make a play. I can see intermediate crossers in his future. -

I'd love to have that Stanford diploma, but after watching this I don't blame the young man for hitting the Portal. That was kinda brutal. He looks like a good possession WR though. Hope he can get healthy and contribute to the Longhorns this season. -
Ohio State news and notes (Updated Sunday 10:10 AM)
LovingBuckeye replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Also, Larry Johnson expands the DL rotation based on how many guys he has that has earned playing team. If there are only one or two backups that are ready to play at a high level, there won’t be much rotation. Historically LJ prefers to rotate often, which early in his tenure made Buckeye fans mad because we didn’t want Joey Bosa or Chase Young, etc taken off the field. -

This isn’t accurate at all. Please do not forget that Larry Johnson is an elite DL coach, a better DL coach than Knowles is a DC, and Knowles is a damn good DC. The reason Knowles left is because Penn State offered him $3M/year, which Ohio State was never going to match that, nor should they have. -
