Four players who went sub-4.4 at the combine speak to the job Texas does in training for speed.

In the weight room, Sark said they don't max out. They measure how fast the guy can move the weight and how fast the bar moves. That's how you build a fast football team, Sark said.

"We train for speed, power and explosiveness," Sark said.

If you think about how Archie Manning played the game, Sark said, that's what Arch brings to the table. They need to find the right balance of when to take advantage of Arch's athleticism, mainly doing it on third down and in the red zone.

Sark loves that Texas can go into "talent-rich areas" like Florida, Georgia and Louisiana and get players who can help Texas compete for a championship.

Sark said the move to the SEC has helped the Texas staff because "it's natural for those kids to want to come to Texas," he said, speaking of the talent along the I-10 corridor going through Louisiana and into the southeast.

"I own it as a play-caller, but then as a head coach, too," he said. "I don't have many people to be mad at outside of myself because that's my job, to get them to execute."

Sark is asked about the goal-line series against Ohio State. He said he evaluates every play-call of every game by himself and with the staff.

Sark believes the Texas offensive line is "as talented as anybody else's in the country."

Sark said the Longhorns are fortunate that Trevor Goosby got some quality snaps last year.

Sark corrected someone who asked a question about the offensive line, noting that the Longhorns are inexperienced, not young.

Sark is talking about the A&M game. "There's nothing like going on the road and singing 'The Eyes of Texas' after a win," he said.

Sark said everyone needs to let Arch have fun and enjoy being the quarterback at Texas. "I hope he can have an opportunity to enjoy it and enjoy it the right way."

Sark: "I hope it's a no-brainer to come back to school, if you know what I mean."
