  1. Past hour
  2. My point is that the scheme does not make fast receivers look fast—not the game we’ve seen this year or any games last year. That is just not the scheme Sark seems to run. Our guys who got drafted high goy drafted high because they ended up running faster at the combine than people thought they would—AD Mitchell and Golden, exhibits A and B. Those guys were really fast but they didnt ever really look like it in Sark’s offense. I’m talking about 4.3 guys.
  3. Arch is our guy, not sure why people are wanting Sayin over him. Sayin did next to nothing special, he threw that TD pass that wasn't great and if Guilbeau turns around could've probably picked off, if not swatted away. If they had to put the ball in his hands to win them the game, I don't know if he could. Because then you're asking him to do more than you wanted and Texas would've pinned their ears back and gotten after him. Because they would've moved away from 12 personnel and moved back to likely either 11 or 10 personnel.
  4. I think 7 is fair, was expecting not to drop out of the top 10. Not worried about the rankings just go out and do your jobs, uphold the standard and that will take care of itself.
  5. Our guys are fast, did we miss them getting open against an elite secondary? Hell even Endries is fast and Townsend/Washington are good athletes at TE. I agree right now we don't have a speed guy at RB, Baxter still working his way back from injury but he's not that type of guy and Wisner isn't either. I've no idea if Clark could be but he didn't see any action. Plus Manning has some legs. I'm not concerned overall but I did think they could've done better in the portal at WR with what was available but t hey were also in the midst of a playoff run, so it's hard to split your focus like this.
  6. Same. _________ is the reason Texas lost. 1) Arch being too nervy and erratic 2) Sark’s game plan 3) Sark refusing to take points in the RZ 4) OSU is the better team I don’t think it’s #4.
  7. The guy said if he was a 5 star WR he doesn't know that he'd pick Texas. That was the overreaction to Saturday. Outside of Ohio State and probably LSU I'm not sure there's another team in the country that's done better with their WRs than Texas under Sark. Bond before injury looked more explosive here than he ever looked at Bama. Mitchell made many explosive plays here even if he didn't look like a 4.35 guy at the time. We also took Golden who was more known as a Kickoff return guy and turned him into a complete WR and 1st round pick. Don't get me wrong I would LOVE to have a Dakorien Moore or Ryan Williams type but we've been pretty dang good at developing the talent at the position since Sark arrived.
  8. Today
  9. I’ll take arch over Sayin this year all day. Sayin didn’t beat Texas. Texas beat Texas.
  10. That seems about where we should be honestly. We’re a great defensive team with a ton of upside. Arch will get better just look at his growth from ULM to MSU last season. He learned from his mistakes improved dramatically and if not for fumbles and drops we probably win that game by 50.
  11. Very well said 👏🏿
  12. So we should be worried about Florida because they have talented starters but so do we....I understand being "worried" about them but your team now has experience in a hostile environment against great competition. I think the boys will be fine, as long as they execute and be more disciplined. Plus if Ohio State was meant to have this great OL, are we saying Florida has a better one? They have better WR's? They might have a better RB, I'll give them that. Do they have superior LB's and DB's? I'm all for respecting an opponent but this team has already been through a tough road game against a great opponent. If they get rattled on the road against Florida, then they don't deserve to be in the SEC title game or in the playoffs.
  13. I am right there with you on florida. Sunbelt Billy will find a way to go 9-4 at best with them.
  14. DMoore, Wingo, Wisner
  15. If you're speaking from a Texas POV, I'd say you're going to find out a lot these next three weeks. Sark is going or will want to get Arch good looks of route concepts against live and different coverages. Who and what concepts Arch looks and feels most comfortable throwing will tell who is scoring the TDs.
  16. 5th at worst. close game on the road against defending national champs yo
  17. Road game, SEC. Tough game, expect it.
  18. Yesterday
  19. Who is scoring the touchdowns on this team? Not an overreaction, the dust has settled… just a question
  20. Agree with this. He clearly likes the big city and just got a fat extension. It’s almost all downside there. They need one more coach to purge their entitlement. Their next guy will be a defensive guy because seeing crappy defense guts their souls after having the GOAT.
  21. Georgia beating a Marshall team where nearly everyone transferred out and Oregon beating Montana State really isn't an accomplishment to be above Texas with a single touchdown loss to OSU. A touchdown that was an extremely lucky bounce. Texas lead in passing, rushing, and receiving yards. Endries had one receiving yard more than Carnell Tate. That's a better loss than a Phil Knight purchased team overrunning a school I didn't know existed. Anyway, Ohio State lost to Oregon last year in the regular season on Will Howard's error then beat them later in the Rose Bowl to face Texas and won the national championship as the 8th seed.
  22. Gotta at least split the Miami and LSU games, then pull an upset over Texas or Aggy and run the table from there to have a shot. Won't happen because they won't beat Georgia and Mississippi is probably a loss too so 8-4 at best. That's only if Lagway stays healthy.
  23. LSU harassed Cade all night, Miami don't have world beaters but they're good enough, Lagway may not even make it to Texas.
  24. Arch was playing in his first big road start matching wits with an NFL DC that he had no good way to gameplan for. OSU has some of the best defensive personnel in the country. Arch flat out missed throws. JJ flat out dropped passes. There's not really a qualitative difference.
  25. Arch’s worst plays were very bad (Uncle Rico esque). Smith’s worst plays were just bad. Smith is a true sophomore and Littleton is (maybe) the best freshman DB in the country. Not that crazy. Littleton very clearly made a great play. The pass was also put in a spot that made it difficult to catch.
  26. That’s a big if about them coming into our game undefeated. They have the hardest schedule in the country until then. It’s not certain that they will come out of next weekend undefeated, much less be undefeated in October. And if they are undefeated when we play them, they will probably have used up a lot of energy and possibly depth in hard fought games and be due for a loss.
  27. I think Florida would have been better off this year if they didn’t get all those upsets towards the end of the year. That just gave those teams more reason to want to beat them 😂
