I was coming to post the same thing. You're going to see more schools do this unless the framework changes. These players have to understand this free for all won't last forever. Sorsby signed a contract and breached it. Now he gets to deal with the consequences. Wouldn't surprise me to see someone cover the settled amount (as someone stated above).

Have to say there is no excuse for being this bad defensively. You can be bad but not that bad.

Why is anyone surprised? Texas was never beating Florida. It was going to be a double digit game. They are a damn good team with a number of returnees of an NC team. Best big men in the country (BTW, none highly recruited in the states) with experience that will all play pro ball on some level, key guard off the bench on the NC team and Golden is a GREAT offensive coach. Texas will likely lose at Texas A&M (10-15% chance to win) and will definitely lose at Arkansas. Texas literally has four straight games against NCAA Tournament teams, with three on the road. Texas is favored in NONE of them. If anyone think Texas should win... Vegas is pretty good at what they do! This has been setting up for the OU game at home being the must win. And it's always been ... will the Mississippi State game come back to haunt. But in the mean time while everyone awaits the OU game and SEC Tournament ... Miller sucks, Swain isn't ready to go pro, Matas sucks, Pope sucks, Mark sucks, everyone sucks. I'll keep saying the same thing as I have since prior to the season ... Danny Hurley at UConn (under .500), Todd Golden at Florida (under .500), Rick Pitino at St. Johns,Nate Oats at Alabama, Chris Beard at Ole Miss, Brad Underwood at Illinois, Mick Cronin at UCLA all missed the NCAA Tournament year one in the portal era. The future years will come down to one of two scenarios ... 1. Texas fully funds the [program from the NIL side to be competitive in the portal. 2. Miller and staff catch lightening in a bottle a couple of times with a HS prospect or couple of not high-end NIL portal guys.

Florida really did a much better job on Mark in the second half.

I agree. That’s why I said Texas would potentially lose five in a row if they dropped the LSU game.

Codie and Heide not being SEC quality players really doomed this thing from the start. Codie especially after all the talk that he was ready to make a jump in year 2.

This team lacks talent theres no other reason. our guards are bad and most of the people we have to play wouldn't see much court on good teams. Ill be looking forward to next season where the talent floor is risen with the recruiting class and the transfer portal.

Man that’s not fair. I actually think this game proved just how good Coach Miller is. It’s just not a very good team. You can take Pope out but you have to put Wilcher in. Texas has no power forward. Put Heide in or Codie and you’re lucky if you get five points out of them. Heide is in over his head. Coach Miller is doing an excellent job of covering some big holes.

Finally starting to thin the heard of the $1 for month folks, Huh?

Literally wouldn’t surprise me if we won all three, or lost all three.

Texas seriously has no power forward. They have to play Heide or Codie. You can pull Pope for lazy passes and poor defense, but you have to put Wilcher in. You lose offense by taking Pope out.

Texas is now 17-11 overall and 8-7 in the SEC. Three games left in the regular season to get a ninth SEC win.

I had the same experience. Crickets when you try to cancel.

Bulls Director of Player Personnel at the game ... says he absolutely is on the first round line and ascending. NBA guys like him.

Completely agree but that doesn’t explain the slow switches and lazy passes. They were jumping into those passing lanes. I didn’t have Texas winning this game, but you can see what Coach Miller is talking about.

I don’t think it’s that. It’s just a team that isn’t good enough defensively to compensate for the dry spells on offense.

Well this team looks about as I expected lol. Good first half and second half with about 5min left just fell off a cliff, such a Jekyll and Hyde team.
