  12. Everyone is different after ACL surgery depending on several factors, but it generally takes 6-12 months usually closer to the latter for running backs. He is in that window and being a guy who has powerful legs and directional cuts he will retrain his muscles and gain strength and confidence back soon. The surgery is healed but it takes a while to get full strength and rom back in all the muscle groups. Suspect he will get limited reps that will increase over the first month.
