  1. Past hour
  2. About to have the lowest viewed Finals this century. Team Titles this century: Lakers--6 Spurs--4 Warriors--4 Heat--3 Celtics--2 Everyone else sucks. Players with most titles this century: Kobe--5 Shaq--4 LeBrick--4 Duncan--4 Steph (made by rule changes and can't defend a statue)--4 Wade--3 Other players on the Lakers, Spurs and Warriors have multiple titles, but they don't count.
  3. Unfortunately this is not a roster built for the loser’s bracket path. We saw that in the mid week games after Spencer went out. The replacement for Gasporino is Farmer. It’s been there. The replacement for Flores is Mendoza-A Rod up the middle. But obviously Mendoza has an Astros-level hidden injury if he’s still not ready to play the field.
  4. Was he there (Austin) yesterday while we were beating that a$$ in Oklahoma in softball? !
  5. Who let him in the stadium? Can we file breaking and entering? Trespassing?
  6. It’s Malcom brown for me
  7. Malcom Brown most talented for sure. Never forget when I stopped by Brenham High and the guys were running a mile as part of a workout … he ran sub 6 min mile at 290’ish pounds
  8. If I were opposing pitchers I would throw breaking balls to Jonah until he proves he can hit one. Would never throw him a fast ball. Gasparino continues to look lost at the plate and needs a reset. If last night's team shows back up we will lose to KSU today. Backs against the wall now so let's see if these guys really want it or not.
  9. Keep all the shops locked up…..
  10. That was straight up disappointing last night
  11. Living rent free inside a small head
  12. It’s funny how literally nobody has given a thought about Gerald McCoy in about 15 years and yet, this is his idea of trying to stay relevant? This didn’t have the effect he thought it did 😂😂
  13. To be honest, we saw this coming , or certainly the possibility of it. I would put us at a 70% chance to beat KState. From there to win two ? Not confident put it that way.
  14. Never listen to anyone that’s been in Oklahoma and liked it 😂
  15. Still processing last night. I can only imagine what our team is feeling this morning. Sucks to lose that way. Couple of thoughts on the morning after… 1) I can’t recall another game all year with that many compounding mistakes in the field combined with stranding 10 runners on base. 2) It would be one things if we got beat playing our best and the other team simply played better. This stings more because much of the loss felt self inflicted due to poor execution. Hats off to UTSA for grinding after we took the 6-1 lead but we shot ourselves in the foot last night. How will we respond in the elimination game against KSU? 3) Hard to believe how well the Horns have played all season when you look at the team’s individual performances. Statistically, our Horns have been middle of the conference for much of the season. Hitting, fielding, pitching. Our team is largely the same as last season. For a few of our hitters, their numbers have actually regressed this season which is a bit troubling. 4) The most impressive (and surprising) part of the team imo is our shut-down freshman closer Dylan Volantis. He’s been a lot of fun to watch. Excited to see his career progress on the 40 acres. What’s not surprising is that we’ve struggled as a team ever since Jared Spencer went down with the season ending shoulder injury. We don’t have the depth in quality pitching to handle the loss of our #1 starter. This was obvious and when Spencer went down, the probability of a long run into the CWS looked bleak. 5) Flashing back to Sark’s first year, it was painful watching the Horns. Felt like we were going backwards as we endured loss after loss against mediocre opponents. The team was t having fun. The foundation was being set but it takes time. Well Schloss needs time as well just not as much it appears. The immediate future looks really bright with our top recruiting class coming and what’s likely to unfold with the transfer portal. This team has outperformed all expectations through the season, the foundation of winning culture is getting laid and an improved roster with more depth at pitching is on the way. 6) Schloss and the Horns achieved the improbable and unthinkable in winning the SEC conference championship…. in year 1!! Crazy. No one could have predicted. Especially not in the SEC. They kept grinding and winning one series after another. It’s been fun to watch this team pull off the unexpected. Last night doesn’t change that. 7) Hope we rebound against Kansas State with the team that confidently won the SEC so we can get another shot at UTSA. Feel like we have much better baseball left to play this season than what we saw last night; however, our lack of pitching depth is going to be a challenge. Would be fun to see the Horns bounce back. We’ll see if they’ve got it in them or have they run out of gas? Predicting a high scoring game. Either way, this has been a fun gritty team to watch this season with much better seasons ahead as Schloss builds his team for sustaining success. Feels like Schloss and our Horns baseball team is just getting started. Hook em! 🧡🤘🏼🐂
  16. Played like last years team
  17. Just bad bad baseball and playing that vs a gritty team like UTSA gets you beat
  18. Today
  19. Spot on Blake. Situational baseball with runners on 1sr and 2nd were atrocious. You have to scratch a run in that situation. If Texas simply executes laying down a bunt, you can likely add two more runs on the board. We shift on defense and ARod can’t throw the guy out at first. That’s the whole purpose. That started the slide imo and Harrison did the rest to let UTSA climb back in. Baseball is about doing a job and executing a game plan. Texas didn’t do that at all. Texas looking at 3rd strike pitches is infuriating along with the double digit Ks. Embarrassing loss. Texas threw their best arms and got beat. Harrison, Grubbs, Burns and Volantis.
  20. Agree to disagree. Also noted our errors on the field. We didn’t help ourselves clearly.
  21. Smart man. It was painful, but I couldn't turn it off.
  22. At bats with runners in scoring position were extremely frustrating to watch.
  23. Great write up. It was painful to watch, but you're absolutely right. The game was over at 8-6 even though there were plenty of outs remaining. They need to shake it off. It's a tough road, but they are the best team in the regional. They can do it, but can they? We'll see at 2 PM.
