  1. Past hour
  2. I'll hurry, I'm trying to pick great players beyond the obvious ones. The voting will be interesting to support the Longhorn Mt Rushmore though! Hoping you'll do an honorable mention section and list everyone who got named, beyond the Top 10.
  3. Sark is set to talk to the media at around 10:45 am after practice No. 5 this morning. Follow along here!
  4. Best football ahead of him for sure. It's important to remember last year was his first and only season playing football and he currently only has 11 games under his belt. He was supposed to play as a sophomore but the UIL ruled him ineligible and playing sub varsity would've been unfair so he sat out and practiced each week. Should take a decent jump from junior to senior year
  5. There’s a bevy of talent on this team
  6. I'm closing this at 12:00 PM CT today, so please vote if you haven't already!
  7. It's really an unknown at this point on ... Johnson, Punch, Freeman and Goosby. They do believe the talent level being this high, there will be 1-2 from the starting five that go. Goosby is more likely to be 2 years, as of today, but if he shoots it well this season he will fly up draft boards because of the upside skill set and frame. Freeman could be a big riser too IMO, if he makes a few more plays for others in the flow to go with his elite athleticism and natural ascension in year two of high-major hoops

  8. Does Texas expect Johnson and Punch to be here two years?
  9. Today
  10. Looks like his best football is a few years out. VERY raw on the 1 video I’ve seen. Not looking to finish his man. Hope he reaches his potential
  11. I've heard Gilmer is going to get him the ball some as a senior. Now, how much will it be? I have no idea, but several people have told me he will get handoffs and passes thrown his way. Can't wait to see normal HS kids try to tackle his 6-foot-6, 340 pound frame. OTF will be on the road to see him two weeks from Thursday when Gilmer opens the season with an away game at Longview Pine Tree on Aug. 27
  12. We’re officially 26 days away from Texas football, so today we’re looking back at some of the best Longhorns to wear No. 26. Johnny “Lam” Jones headlines this group. The Olympic gold medalist was a two-time All-American, two-time All-SWC selection and Texas’ 1978 team MVP before becoming the No. 2 overall pick in the 1980 NFL Draft. D.J. Monroe brought some serious speed to the number during his time on the Forty Acres. Monroe finished with 2,620 all-purpose yards and still owns the Texas record with three career kickoff-return touchdowns. And Marcus Griffin rounds out the group. A member of the 2005 National Championship team, Griffin finished his Texas career with 229 tackles, four interceptions and three forced fumbles, earning ESPN.com All-America honors as a senior in 2007. 26 days to go.
  13. The Texas DL commit plans to be in Austin for Texas-Ohio State on Sept. 12. This is the only visit he has planned. I asked if he's looking at visiting any other programs this fall and he simply replied with a "hook 'em"
  14. NBADraft.net ... 2028 mock has 3 Texas players in first round ... https://www.nbadraft.net/nba-mock-drafts/?year-mock=2028 2 in second round in 2027 ... https://www.nbadraft.net/nba-mock-drafts/?year-mock=2027 And that doesn't include Austin Goosby, who will be a first rounder either in 2027 or 2028 (likely two years as of today)
  15. I bet that SEC DC is the Florida dc that was Kentucky dc last year and the new dc at Florida this year? I don’t think it’s A&M or Oklahoma because there rivals an Arkansas has a new dc so reading the tea leaves I believe it’s the florida DC that made that comment about Arch? Also Mississippi State have a new dc too so not them either.
  16. He's got ALL of the physical tools. It'll be up to him to maximize. He's a special, special athlete IMO.
