  2. Component Value Total Value of Donation to UT $750,000,000 Total Tax Savings (Income + Capital Gains + Estate) ($741,000,000) Net Long-Term Cost to Dell Family $9,000,000 Not a bad investment
  3. Ah. Good call. When thinking about '27, it's hard to get too deep into the woods because of guys who could play their way into getting drafted (Baker and Siani) and not knowing how the staff will use the portal.
  4. Gonna need about tree-fiddy to the football progrum
  5. Dear Longhorn Nation, There are moments in our University’s history when Longhorns have changed the course of our future. Today is one of those moments. We are taking a bold step forward. Earlier this afternoon, sitting alongside Susan and Michael Dell, Governor Greg Abbott, Board of Regents Chairman Kevin Eltife, Senior Vice President and Dean Claudia Lucchinetti, and UT MD Anderson President Peter Pisters, we announced a historic philanthropic commitment that will transform The University of Texas — and our city and state — and accelerate our leadership in health and life sciences innovation. Today, we announced that Susan and Michael Dell have committed $1 billion to The University of Texas at Austin. In honor of Susan and Michael’s lifetime of giving, we are establishing the UT Dell Campus for Advanced Research and the UT Dell Medical Center, which will be the campus’s anchor tenant. Located on University-owned land in North Austin just a short drive from the Forty Acres, the new UT Dell Campus for Advanced Research will combine the full force of the best research university in the world with the renowned excellence of UT MD Anderson cancer care. When it opens in 2030, the UT Dell Medical Center will be the first of its kind — built for the AI era — enabling earlier diagnoses, delivering more precise treatments, and providing truly integrated, personalized care. In addition to their historic investment in health and life sciences innovation, Susan and Michael Dells’ gift strengthens the Texas Advanced Computing Center, supports student housing, and expands scholarships and opportunities for students to live and learn on the Forty Acres. Susan and Michael Dell are Longhorns who have a vision to change the world, a will to act on that vision, and a deep commitment to make it real. From a UT dorm‑room startup to a lifetime of service and impact, they have helped shape our University’s future and elevated our role in serving Texas and the world. We are deeply grateful for their enduring partnership. At The University of Texas, and throughout our state, we always think big. What we are building, right here in Austin, has never been built before. And with the extraordinary support of Susan and Michael Dell — and the alignment of our state, city, and UT System leaders — there has never been a better time for this great University to change the world. Hook 'em! Jim Davis
  6. She loves UT like Quinn does.
  7. The committee will grade our schedule as if it were the 100th SOS. They don't care, wins and loss column is above all. Sark needs to treat the Ohio State game like it's his last.
  8. I didn’t realize J Howe had that kinda power.
  9. Game canceled per @Jeff Howe on the Livestream
  10. Today
  11. Pregame not on the radio. That usually means a delay.
  12. The most competitive school at Texas is nursing with a 3% acceptance rate!! I was shocked to read that because you don’t hear about as much as the Business and Engineering schools.
  13. Yesterday
  14. I respect Ohio State for adding the most competitive teams in the SEC to their non-conference schedule the next few years. As a fan, I love that Texas likes to schedule one big time program for an out of conference game. I get the argument against it, but man it’s fun to have big games with teams we don’t normally play. I hope the selection committee gets their head out of their a$$ so we can keep scheduling these games. Who had the bright idea that anyone is going to want to watch not 1, but 2 G5 schools in place of Texas or Notre Dame - crazy!!
  15. I’m hoping they get this game in. I’d love to see Winter have a good outing. We’re going to need him (and others like Bing and Flores) in a month or so.
  16. Don't care about any of the optics, optimizing, prognosticating what the selection committee is looking for, irdgas. I would play Ohio State year-in, year-out & let the chips fall where they may. It's been like a dream come true to see us play Ohio State & Michigan the last 20 years.
  17. Thanks for the update Jeff. Just as well, I'm tied up until 8:00 so I'll drop back later. Of course, I'll try to catch it streaming on a popular website. Hook'em !!
  18. Robertson is out of eligibility after the 2026 season.
  19. It’s a possibility, but there are more options at left guard than tackle.
  20. The game has been pushed back one hour because of the weather. The game will be streamed on SEC Network Plus.
  21. You’re looking at it from an Ohio State perspective. Teams that you expect to fall in the 10-25 range may lose out with an extra loss. For this year, it’s a decent chance that UTSA and/or Texas State are solid opponents. At least relative to SHSU, UTEP, etc. I would wager many strength of schedules give too much weight to the bottom quartile of the schedule.
  22. Well "re-build" has a negative connotation, however, the talent coming in is amazing. Unfortunately, we lost Rori to the draft. We will also miss Kyla. We won't miss the three portal transfers because Isi Itute is much better than Carlton, Bri Crittendon is better than Aaliyah Crump, and Addison Bjorn is bigger and just as good a shooter as Jordan Lee. Hopefully, Bri Preston can step in and run the team! It's interesting that Coach Vic had really been quiet throughout this process.
  23. I don’t eat there but I would not have a problem taking their money. Awesome opportunities.
  24. To the “health and science” of football players? Can we play with these words, and what the money can be alotted to?
  25. As much money as I have sent to Dell over the years, I am feeling a tiny bit philanthropic today.
