A few quick thoughts before bed: - It was huge to get the win tonight. Really, really big deal there. Sets the tone for the next two days - Grubbs is so good. Just solid baseball every single time. - As good as Grubbs is, I’m not sure there’s a more reliable guy than Volantis right now. And he’s only a freshman. His ceiling is amazing and we are only scratching the surface. - Texas A&M looks really good all of the sudden. Say what you want, but that series is going to be a tough one. - There’s a lot of really good college baseball teams this year and not a lot of great ones.

Bobby is stepping away for the day, which means it’s Gerry and I talking no telling what for a bit, followed by Rod Babers joining us for the rest of the show!

Man you obviously weren't here for the Chris Simms years. Him and Ewers had very similar careers but the hate for Simms was 10x what it is for Quinn.

Auburn has some of the same annoying tendencies as Kentucky. Wearing this conference out in year one has been better than I imagined.

That was another big win. Hope Jared is not really hurt. Max stepped up for him and then Volantis was money as usual. What a stud. We had just enough hitting to win. As much as I like Duplantier and his enthusiasm he can't hit. He is still batting .000 in SEC play and only .107 for the season. Winfield is hitting about twice that. As a freshman Duplantier had 43 at bats and hit .256. Not many at bats last year and he batted .111. So, he is about a .190 career hitter.
