Matthew Golden impressing early in training camp
harveycmd replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
I've noticed that even though Peyton has repeatedly said Barron is a corner, some Broncos fans continue to argue he'll be safety or nickel. I'm sure Jahdae will move around, but you don't draft a safety with the twentieth pick. -

Agree. Bizarre post: Think this is code for… other teams weren’t pursuing him hard either and this is his way of trying to generate some buzz on others’ radar as a Texas ‘commit’ who’s decided to ‘soft decommit’…..Is that a thing if Sark never accepted your commitment? lol. 😳😂

Lucky for Sark, Mama is past her prime in the ring. Good luck to the young man.
-
She's just not that into you. Weird post to make publicly, but okay. Onward.

Hope Quinn kills it at Miami. He was all class (despite getting hate at times and hearing how the fans preferred QB2) and killed himself to be on the field for the Horns, bringing us from 5-7 (year before he arrived) and got us right on the edge of playing in the national championship two consecutive years. Sark rightfully feels indebted to Quinn and these idiots who bash him are clueless. He wasnt perfect (no QB is) but Quinn put us on the map of Top 10 teams the past 2 years and he deserves a ton of respect / appreciation from Longhorn Nation imho. Hook em!! 🤘🏼🐂🧡

35 Days Until Kickoff — Who Is Your Favorite No. 35?

#85 for Arkansas has to hate this picture. That is the definition of blocked on your ass. -
Sad for the kid. Not getting a formal offer when you want one is hard. Hopefully Sark didn’t string him along, but it sounds like he was honest and told the player that Texas isn’t taking him. I hope he finds a good spot and thrives.
-
Hope he figures the health stuff out. Boulder is a very tough place to coach in this landscape. Would make sense for him to hang it up, especially with all his kids moving on now.
-
I love how Sark refuses to “settle” for anything less than the very best. Program maximizer… it’s working.
-
He only ever coached to get Shaddeur more NFL attention. He was never going to coach college football long-term. I didn’t expect him to stay with the Buffs once his son was in the NFL.
-
It sounds like he wasn’t “approved” to commit yet, which means that Sark is playing wait and see. Clearly the coaches are in no rush here and if they decide to give him another look, they can always push hard in a few months.

Don’t piss his mama off Sark…

Redzone Offense 2025 will be very giod

Majors and Connors were both screeners as blockers, they never got any actual push. Umeozulu and Hutson will be physical and push someone back, I just hope that it is the right someone. -
This is Sark recruiting. He insists on just the best of the best. Of course, he could be proven wrong, but he does as he sees fit for the program.

Based off the spring, there remains some work for consistency in stretch zone. But that's obviously to be expected with a brand new unit. -

If the 2025 OL “holds serve”, the run run blocking will still be better; it is the pass blocking communication that may suffer. -
Was a bit of an interesting deal. Appeared to me that it was insurance for the 2026 class as Texas continued to pursue Prothro, Bowman, Kent, etc. Texas is in no rush to just take a tight end in 2026 cycle. After Townsend and Winston in 2025, the room is healthy for the future.

I really don’t think Texas pushed very hard and didn’t publicly take his commitment fora reason. Especially with him saying where he will be most valued.
-
Best of luck to him...

I don't know their roster well enough. Jordan Seaton is expected to be a high draft choice eventually. Not sure beyond that.
