  1. Past hour
  2. I hope they don’t sign anybody until they join a conference
  3. Quit sucking up. You already have the job😁
  4. Following up on this @Bobby Burton, I know the portal additions will affect this, but all things being equal would you prefer that Nick compete for starting at Guard or be a primary backup at both Tackle spots?
  5. @Gerry Hamilton poker face after his phone call on C&F
  6. Feel like it could help with people who are depth pieces with limited playing time asking for raises because the transfers with proven production are getting paid more. We can't pay what you are asking for given your numbers but here is a tier system of incentives you can earn based on your performance.
  7. What happened to Nic brooks? Does he need more time I know he’s young but he was getting reps to be a starter this year?
  8. There is an OL visitor currently on campus. Also: Texas is still attempting to get Wisconsin OL Joe Brunner on campus but no visit has been set as of a couple of minutes ago. Brunner is thought to be leaning heavily toward Indiana.
  9. Notre Dame has not signed one player out of the portal yet
  10. There is an OL visitor currently on campus. Also: Texas is still attempting to get Wisconsin OL Joe Brunner on campus but no visit has been set as of a couple of minutes ago. Brunner is thought to be leaning heavily toward Indiana.
  11. All im saying is wait until next year. Made no sense to run that experiment during Archs last year.
  12. this from Cj is what I'm referencing, not carrying 105. It's an aggressive change from what's worked for them in the past. I'm not confident it's right or wrong. But if you want evidence of "all-in", making aggressive changes (like firing PK too) are strong evidence of it.
  13. Texas isn't the only one doing this.
  14. @Joe Zura looking at the glass half full. Uh oh! 🤣
  15. Bad news for your client...
  16. Cutting down to an nfl sized roster. Bobby had been talking about it for a while. And CJ wrote an article on it the other day
  17. I have a trial I am preparing for on February 10....I need to get some work done - can we get 3-4 more commitments today so I can stop using the F5 key?
  18. Incentives probably aren't worked in enough to be honest. In a lot of instances, it is a signing bonus and flat salary.
  19. Question for the mods are these contracts like NFL contracts where there are incentives baked in? Something like: - X yards - X Touchdowns - X Receptions - Accolades (Heisman, Post Season Awards, All-American, SEC All-American) - Conference Champions - Playoff Appearance/Wins Feel like this would help with the guys who are expected to contribute like a Clark but asking for a pay raise. It keeps them motivated to work hard for the money.
  20. We’re going to end up with a B+ portal class, minimum. We’ve been aiming for A+. We’re in good shape.
  21. Can still sign. Also, the natty teams will get an additional few days to enter since the window will have closed before the game.
  22. Let's be real here. It's a huge red flag and the most important thing. It's not like we are at a 50% hit rate on our main targets at positions of need. It's 0%. And it's clearly not NIL. This sample size points to a real problem in the org. It's one or a combo of the following: - we aren't prioritizing the right targets: Brand Harris's fault. - we are convincing the players to sign: coaches and Brandon Harris's fault. Sure, we can point to other schools struggling in the portal but not everyone is going 0'fer on their main targets, they are having some level of success. And for a school like Texas that has a huge NIL backing, the hit rate like this is unacceptable. There can't be excuses at this point for Texas coaches and staff. Either you can handle portal recruiting or you need to get out of the program.
  23. I don’t think it’s that concerning. Michigan just hit a HR with Whittingham. If they chose poorly we’d have probably got them.
  24. I love you the most producer Matthew
  25. Would agree if they went elsewhere as opposed to staying home.
