You over rate you defensive line and Sayin will not put up 31 on his first start vs by all accounts so far… a very strong defense. Let’s see if Hartline $hits down his leg…

Do we know where in Dallas?
-
Lol that semi final was a fully competitive game for all 4 quarters, and our front was getting home more and more often in the second half. I wouldn't bundle that with what occurred against Tennessee and Oregon. Again, we are far too talented for that.

With all do respect, it is baffling to me that you don’t think there is no chance for a win margin like that. People said the same before Tennessee, Oregon, and Texas last season. It’s college football, we have no clue. One thing we do know is that Arch struggled mightily when he took hits by high major lineman. Hell Ohio State knocked him out. -
I thought about showing up for Houston but their website says 21 and up. My 15 year old daughter wanted to go. Probably best if I don't bring her around a bunch of degenerates anyway.
-
There's just no chance a win margin like that happens. Just none. We are far too talented and you're fielding a QB who doesn't know what it feels like to get hit by a high major lineman yet.

Ohio State typically plays very strong OOC opponents, 1 every year. Texas, Georgia, and Alabama on the horizon. Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Miami, TCU, Virginia Tech, Texas, Washington, Washington State (when they were Top 10), in the recent past. It’s not about Ohio Stadium, it’s about a new QB and a new OL on the road. -

The OL is fantastic. It’s definitely a sign the DL is going to be very good, like the past 25 years -
Still, 1-1 is the same win %. Small sample size- tOSU doesn't commonly play strong OOC competition during the regular season, home or away.
-
Camp is a zero sum game. A dominant DL may also indicate the OL is having issues

You’re right, Cotton Bowl wasn’t great. It’ll be interesting to see how the current WR compare to this production this year: Golden 2 for 51 Moore 4 for 31 Bolden 1 for 24 Wingo 1 for 22 Bond 1 for 8 -

Haha I was yesterday years old when I found out that was his nickname. I like it, hopefully he earns it on the field. -

Ditto for Ohio State. If Texas takes the lead at any point during this game, even if 3-0 on the first drive, the sky will be falling and Ryan Day all of a sudden sucks. -
As long as Sayin doesn’t go Super, we should be good.. IYKYK

You could have just asked us and we would have told you lol. By all accounts the DL has been dominant this camp. I don’t think any Ohio State fans are concerned about the defense. It should be one of the best defenses in the country once again. -

Urban Meyer isn’t the coach. How Ryan Day’s teams have fared is much more relevant. I do agree though, simply playing at home is not enough, it’s more so about having 4 new OL and a new QB and struggling to communicate. Ohio Stadium is incredible in terms of its history in tradition. In terms of atmosphere, Death Valley it is not. -

I was curious- since the start of the Urban Meyer era Ohio State has played four games against OOC P5 teams at home that were ranked at the time of playing or at the end of the season (OU in 2017, TCU in 2018, Oregon in 2021 and ND in 2022). 2-2 in those games. Also a home loss to VaTech sprinkled in there. Not quite the indomitable fortress it's made out to be.

So, about this Ohio State "reworked" DL, from what I have read, T Williams, J Sawyer, JTT and Ty Hamilton are all gone. Those were last year's starters in the Cotton Bowl. Kenyatta Jackson played when JTT got hurt. McDonald played some snaps too. According to Ourlads, the proposed starters this season are Jackson, McDonald, Houston, and Atkinson. I don't believe Houston played a snap against us last year and Atkinson was not on the team. Nobody else in your two deep played in that game except for Curry. Sounds like a little more going on than "reworking". -
We've recruited as well as anybody over the last 5 years so it only stands to reason that your friendly Buckeye visitors think we have a stacked roster.....we do. So do you! Here's my take much similar to my fellow Buckeye... Oline: very good/excellent depth QB: talented, but young and inexperienced RB: above average/very good WR: elite TE: elite DL: very good/experience limited LB: Very good to Elite Corner: very good Safety: Elite - any unit with Caleb Downs leading is gonna be elite Kicking Game: Average at best I don't expect a repeat, but if the DL is serviceable and the young QB grows into the postion throughout the season, I know we'll be a handful by the end of the year wouldn't be surprised by a strong run. It's a pick em game in Columbus, I see both rosters stacked and pretty much equal. I think the home field is a massive advantage for us facing a young QB with new OL

Had an absolute blast at the first stop on the tour yesterday in Austin. Excited for everyone in Houston and Dallas over the next few days. You never know what might happen on this tour, so always be prepared, always stay sharp. Sharp like razors by Manscaped ™️ Thanks @Rod Babers @Bobby Burton@Gerry Hamilton for the signatures and good times.
