  8. Are they really going to play A Rod at SS? He was a bad fielder last year. Need a better athlete there.
  9. My best advice is to work as hard as you can for the next eight years, (Up to 50 hours a week.) to get your life where you want it to be financially, because after age 55, many people do not have the same health as they did when they were younger, and it becomes increasingly difficult to maintain the same amount of income if your health is not as good as it once was. At the same time, no one is guaranteed tomorrow, so I recommend taking time for yourself and your family. For example, go to as many Texas games with your family and friends as you can! I find it to be rejuvenating. Hook'em! ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿค  ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฑ
  10. Ermis with a knock with the bases loaded.
  11. Both Cozart and Crossland have the future of the Texas pitching staff in great hands.
  12. Sam Cozart looked like a 40 year old grown man.. hard to believe heโ€™s a freshman ๐Ÿ˜‚
  13. Good news baseball fans, @Jeff Howe, @Blake Munroe and myself will be firing up Bases Loaded this week as the season inches ever so close to returning over at the Disch. Until then, I wanted to share a few takeaways from the Alumni Game from Saturday afternoon. *** First and foremost, the pitching that we had been hearing so much about showed up. Of course, the weather wasn't great for anyone, with temperatures hovering around 40ยบ-45ยบ, it was undoubtedly cold. โ€“ One of the young arms we have heard a lot about is RHP Brett Crossland. He was on the hill early in this one and displayed a wicked breaking ball. The 6-foot-5, 255-pound pitcher Crossland got Drew Messinger looking with that breaking ball in one of the more impressive outings of the day. โ€“ RHP Sam Cozart was sitting in the mid-90s for most of his outing. A positive sign. He went 4 1/3 innings pitched of scoreless ball. โ€“ RHP Max Grubbs is one of those high-profile arms that Texas will rely on out of the pen in 2026. He got in trouble in the 7th inning, allowing two runs on a single by junior catcher Andrew Ermis. Grubbs hung a fastball which was sent back to RCF for a 2-run single. โ€“ Speaking of catchers, of course it is going to be Carson Tinney who sees the majority of starts behind the plate, but the Longhorns have plenty of depth at the catchers spot. Ermis and freshman Presley Courville provide plenty of possible solutions at the spot this year. Tinney ended up with a base hit in the contest. โ€“ With Jonah Williams still getting acclimated back to live pitching, the starting outfield trio look liked this: LF โ€“ Ashton Larson CF โ€“ Aiden Robbins RF โ€“ Anthony Pack Jr. The belief is Robbins will spin over to right, and Pack will end up in left when Williams returns to the lineup in centerfield. โ€“ Stanford transfer Temo Becerra ended up starting at SS for the Horns. Adrian Rodriguez is still recovering from a hand issue which should not have him shelved for much longer. At 3B, Texas trotted out Wichita State transfer Josh Livingston. Livingston had 26 home runs and a 1.002 career OPS for the Shockers. โ€“ As expected, it was Casey Borba at first base. While it was mentioned a week ago that Borba could be someone who gets time at each of the corner infield spots, the likely destination to begin the season will be at 1B. Borba had a double and scored a run in the game as well.
  14. Also, there, their, and theyโ€™re are used interchangeably with no regard to grammar rules. Much like their sheep theyโ€™re so proud of there.
  15. I hit 72 last month. Follow the late Satchel Page's advice and never look back! Hook 'Em!
  16. To save you the trouble of reading and mental impact, here is what pretty much every post on Texags is: โ€œAnything atm or their coaches do is game breaking and they are geniuses; smart moves. Their players are the best thing short of walking on water. Anything Texas does, is terrible, lacks strategy, dumb moves. Texasโ€™ players wouldnโ€™t have a spot on the so loaded aggy squad.โ€
  17. Texas is hosting BlowU and Womenโ€™s Game Day today. Fans can enter Moody at 10 for Game Day which starts at 11. The game is 2pm on ABC and is sold out.
  18. Makes you wonder what an oline of Goosby, Hutson, Robertson, Baker and Cojoe wouldโ€™ve looked like all year.
  19. My only advice is to ride the waves as best you can and do it with the people you love.
