  1. Past hour
  2. Matas was shut down because he played against an athletic big that was basically the same height as him. The only threes were hit by Swain.
  3. I’d agree with you a bit on the Oline improvement that it was perhaps more modest than some believe. OU, for example, was pretty poor pass protection but Arch hit Wisner on two check downs I believe. Then rolled right to hit Livingstone. We ran the ball for yards, but Wisner had a lot of YAC. Arch did better. I believe the play calling helped too. Unfortunately at Georgia we dropped too many balls then fell apart late. I am in the minority on this. I think we’ll be fine here. I may be more concerned about RB pass protection.
  4. I went from knowing nothing about y'all to feeling like it's part of my every day. Y'all are doing something very right and I think a good mix of good guys, players, writers, ages. All y'all seem very humble and likeable drink a beer with you kinda guys. I like you guys post so early for us old guys that start drinking coffee at 5 am. Feels like just dudes talking ball and hanging out. No true a-holes. Keep the camera lens clean is my only pet peeve. Y'all hooked me.
  5. They got enough from Pope, just the wrong one.
  6. Beyond frustrating loss… didn’t get enough from pope tonight.., too many second chances for Kentucky! swain and weaver were really good but outside of those no one else was consistent enough to win… hookem🤘
  7. Doesn’t KD have some eligibility left? I want to win the Natty this year.
  8. Once again defending the pick and roll killed us. We probably had 15+ fouls that results from trying to defend the PnR with Matas/Traore and Pope/Wilcher. Simeon Wilcher's +/- has got to be awful this season. He's a liability on defense and hasn't scored much for this team. I get Heide was sick but playing Wilcher a lot of minutes is not a recipe for success. Matas has to capitalize on some of those bunnies he missed in the 2nd half. That was the difference in the game. Swain was great but Pope was gun shy all night.
  9. I can’t go through another portal of Wilcher, Heide and Traore.
  10. Agreed and IU even with all their success under Cig, is still a basketball school at heart.
  11. absolutely, your typical playoff team does not have 5 NFL draft picks on the line, even Miami/IU this year. However, you judge the line based on performance. 2025 O-line was not good, even towards the end. So the only thing you can look toward improving is either the personnel or the development. Losing Campbell, Texas is also much worse than Guard than last year. Losing Brooks and Cruz are significant for depth. Texas brought in one single starting caliber player, but still projected to be a multi-year development. So from a portal perspective, Texas has lost personnel and decreased its position in the O-line Arch improved in throwing accurately under pressure throughout the season. Florida aside, he faced marginally lower pressure as the season progressed, but he grew to be much more able to take the hits/scramble while nicely targeting his receivers. IMO that's why people are thought the o-line improved. Watching the time 24 Quinn received vs 25 arch is night and day
  12. Nope, but I do think Miller is a good coach and will do good things here. He just won’t have the NIL budget and will have to take the IU money ball model and apply it here.
  13. Lost by five. The five point play by Wilcher was the difference. Our shooting guard with length that Coach Pitino didn’t want to lose.
  14. Like: Coffee and Football Gerry Bobby Rod B Dislike: Joe Z spamming every thread. I mostly skim threads for mod only responses at this point. The mods and their weird obsession with Joe Z in every video and thread. Gerry makes the same jokes about him every morning….its run its course.
  15. I knew they wouldn’t win it.
  16. Felt like this for awhile
  17. Man watching this team makes me hate basketball.
  18. Not fun to watch at all.
  19. Two stupid fouls. Right on cue
  20. I love that I can check in daily and know that I’m up to date on everything Longhorns sports. I especially appreciate the mostly cordial interactions by members and the respectful way the moderators ensure threads don’t get totally derailed. OTF has the best staff out there - the info & knowledge I’ve learned from the staff and posters has made going/watching games that much more fun. I really appreciate the more in depth analysis of tendencies & specific plays - having obviously never played football, I’ve learned a lot reading and listening to y’all - thank you!!!
