I wouldn't do much homework on Miami. With Arkansas not hosting and Mississippi State presumably getting that spot, it might make more sense to send the Hurricanes to Starkville.

Pretty much. Even if Arkansas had won today, would its RPI have improved enough (currently 21st) to get into the top 15?

The fifth-ranked Texas baseball team was named one of 16 regional hosts for the NCAA Tournament on Sunday. The Austin Regional at UFCU Disch-Falk will begin on Friday, May 29. That wasn’t a surprise, considering the Longhorns won 40 regular-season games, finished second in the SEC standings and have been one of the nation’s top RBI teams (No. 5 in RPI according to D1Baseball.com). What remains to be seen is if Texas (40-13, 19-10 SEC) will be one of the eight national seeds when the field of 64 is unveiled on Monday.
