Cam Coleman interview

I once met Terrell Owens at the San Jose airport. That's how big he is just like Coleman. Barring injury, he's tearing it up this year. - Today

Dailyn Swain's third straight double-figure scoring game in the NCAA Tournament ... Swain missed 2-3 shots in the win over N.C. State he's made the vast majority of the season, but still finished with 13 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. The game was Swain's third career NCAA Tournament game. In those three games he's averaging 17.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game.

Cool Swain started the season as a fringe/late second round guy. He's elevated himself to being a fringe first round guy, and still ascending in scouts minds at end of SEC regular season. This 2026 draft is extremely deep. To even be in that first round talk from 23-30 says a lot about a player. Of course Swain's perimeter game is still building. That's not what he was coming out of HS. He's gone from a guy Miller wouldn't let shoot the three, to now around 35% from three for the season (and ascending from early in the season), including making contested NBA three's against SEC length defenders. Swain shot 42.3% from three in SEC play, as well. And including tonight is 41.8% from three the last 20 games of the season. Finished product? Hell no. But he's put it on the board in the SEC in a big way over the course of a season with more on his plate than any other player, along with freak Acuff. He'll play in the NBA a long time, health permitting. The only question is which year will be his last in college.

Did you watch the entire season? And you do know the NBA drafts on potential right? The kid has just developed more and more each year. Does he have some weaknesses? Yeah, if he didn’t he wouldn’t be at Texas. He would have gone straight to the draft last year and been a lottery pick. Nobody said he’s a lottery pick. He is in the bottom half of the first round.
-
Yeah. He's a 2nd rounder at best, & his perimeter shot is still suspect. He'll go to the G league if he gets drafted & I doubt he makes the big leagues. Tons of dudes out there with his skill set. I didn't even mention his defense...great defenders don't have games like he did tonight. I just call it like I see it. We'll see over time what happens.

Great kid. I couldn't understand what food he said he liked in Austin. Anyone catch it?

That’s a strong entry for worst performance of the season. It’s baseball, it happens, but that doesn’t make it any easier to digest. Brutal night for the Longhorns. -
