We’re down to 11 days until Texas kicks off the 2026 season and No. 11 has been worn by some phenomenal players. Derrick Johnson headlines the group. One of the best defensive players in school history, DJ finished with 458 tackles, a school-record 65 tackles for loss, won the Butkus Award and Nagurski Trophy, and was a unanimous All-American. Sam Ehlinger finished his Texas career with 11,436 passing yards, 94 passing touchdowns and 33 rushing touchdowns while becoming one of the defining Longhorns of his era. Major Applewhite threw for 8,353 yards and 60 touchdowns, won Big 12 Freshman of the Year in 1998 and was the 1999 co-Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year. Duke Carlisle quarterbacked Texas to the 1963 national championship and was also named team MVP and an Academic All-American that season. And P.J. Locke III rounds out the group after appearing in 47 games with 31 starts, earning honorable mention All-Big 12 honors and serving as a team captain. Who’s your favorite Longhorn to ever wear it?

24 Days Until Kickoff: Who Was The Best No. 24?
MarkInAustin replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
When Earl and Shearer were juniors on the team Clayborn was the team's MVP! He was electrifying as a returner and for me is one of the five greatest DBs in UT history. He was so fast and so fluid. And strong enough to take turns at RB on a team that included Campbell and Leaks. I think he averaged near 7 yards per carry on offense. -
12 Days Until Kickoff: Colt & ET

Jeff, you are too young to have seen the amazing Raymond Clayborn. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raymond_Clayborn In 1976, on a team that included juniors Earl Campbell and Brad Shearer, he was the team's MVP and a unanimous All American. Although he thrilled us with his TD KO and punt returns at Texas the only film of him I can find is from his rookie year in the NFL when he returned one over a hundred yards on national TV - his third KO return TD of the year. He and his teammate Lam Jones ran on the 440 relay together and he was an All American as a track star on the 1600M relay. I will add this: watching Jonah Williams play baseball as a freshman his fluidity reminded me immediately of Clayborn, which for me was high praise. Jonah is bigger than Raymond was, but he moved with that same gliding grace, as if his feet weren't actually touching the ground. That perception has had me wanting to see Jonah play DB and return man ever since. - Today

I use football streaming to check match schedules and avoid missing games. It tracks leagues and cups clearly, so I verify Group D kickoffs and those Spain futures before placing bets. Handy for staying updated without hunting across apps.

Sheer stupidity. These guys have signed contracts and were on NFL rosters. Just because you were granted a 5th year, does not mean you get to sign contracts in the NFL and then head back to college. At least with Hutson he didn't sign, was already back at Texas enrolled for school. This is just stupid. Kiffin is always where the drama is.

Video: Longhorns in the NFL Preseason
Here for the Wins replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
I’m going to track it because that’s who I am. And it is preseason which is the season to work on your game. Hill was on the field for 23 pass plays. He was in coverage for 22 of those with an interception and a grade of 90+. He did get a pressure on his 1 rush attempt grading at 63.
