  1. Past hour
  2. If it’s three permanent opponents, I would be willing to bet one is Arkansas. If the SEC takes input from schools seriously, it’ll happen because Arkansas wants that game.
  3. I agree, but until it prevents Notre Dame from competing for national titles, there's no reason for them to join a conference. They will milk the independence as long as they can.
  4. If Texas and Georgia handle buisness, it’ll be Georgias home win streak vs Texas road win streak. Adds to the intrigue IMO
  5. Can we just require ND to join a conference please?! It’s getting ridiculous now especially with the money involved.
  6. 9 game SEC schedule announcement with 9 days to go 👀 Coincidence? I think not!
  7. Hell yes!! Love that we’ll play ATM, OU, and Arkansas every year!!
  8. Best part, imo, is SEC teams are required to schedule at least one additional high quality non-conference from the Atlantic Coast, Big Ten or Big 12 conferences or Notre Dame each season
  9. PK won’t stack the box but will disguise a lot. If he can stop the run with a 5 man box early then that will be a good sign for us. That’s why I like Taffe coming down to the nickel.
  10. Klare is a great receiving threat, but how is his pass pro blocking? I think OSU will need some help protecting.
  11. Days offenses are notoriously low scoring in the beginning of season… they win defensively in those big early games ..perhaps its the complexity of of schemes Pks stopping the run…thats his MO! I predict he stacks the box …Sayin aint last yrs qb.. last yrs playoff game u had osu offense full throttle… (ant-hill coming off edge w Collins on other side)….the new twist for this game pure speculation…. pony package w Wisner/ Clark paired up w Baxter… gives Arch .. like a 2nd TE plus hard runner and threat to catch.. if arch is allowed to bootleg w threat of running …and he gets hot… its over for osu field position field position field position… mid field Sarks gonna turn Arch looose….
  12. Less games between SEC teams and FCS schools
  13. Now that next year the SEC is moving to the nine game schedule, I would like to believe they’re going to have three permanent opponents and six rotating every year. If that’s the case, who should our three main opponents be? The obvious answer is, A&M, OU, and Arky. Is there a world though that we decide to schedule someone other than the obvious least fiery rivalry “arkansas” with maybe LSU, Georgia, or Bama? Not to make Texas and Arkansas’s rivalry seem less then it is but could you imagine going to Athens, Tuscaloosa, or Death Valley every other year?
  14. Yeah, I think it’s a given that it will be 16. Hopefully the B1G leadership gives up on the ridiculous 4+4+2+2 model in favor of the 5+11 model. The media that covers the B1G always said that that was the compromise the B1G wanted to agree to 5+11.
  15. This is a W for college football fans.
  16. Well with nine conference games announced for 2026 on, I can scrap my prediction of Texas playing another in state non-con opponent and replace them with Auburn. Alabama is the only other option, but with the recent home and home prior to Texas joining the SEC, probably won't happen again until 2028. Not sure how that would affect their home and away schedule. I would assume for Texas it's four home, four away, and neutral for OU. OU, A&M, and Arky are guaranteed to be their three permanent rivals.
  17. Playoff expansion is likely coming too then.
