On behalf of the OTF staff, I hope everyone has a safe, happy and healthy Memorial Day. After the grind that is college baseball’s regular season, including 29 SEC games, Texas will learn its road to Omaha in just over an hour. The show has been moved from ESPN2 to ESPN. The Longhorns were announced last night as one of 16 regional hosts. We’ll find out if Texas (40-13, 19-10 SEC) made the cut for a top-8 national seed when the field of 64 is unveiled. I’ll be live on the OTF YouTube channel with @Blake Munroe and @CJ Vogel for the selection show.

Possible that Sark is speaking his mind and going scorched earth in order to try to remove some of the ridiculous media focus that Arch had to endure last year? Thoughts?

Bobby drew the short straw on having to travel to Destin. Somebody had to do it...

The even formally gets underway tomorrow and runs through Thursday (May 26-28), however as Bobby noted, SEC commish Greg Sankey will speak this evening. Sark and Sean Miller are tomorrow, followed by Vic Schaefer later in the day. CDC is on hand as well. We'll keep this thread open for all news and notes coming out of what should be a newsworthy event.

USA U18 team final cut is Wednesday Bo Ogden one of 19 for 12 spots

Texas will hit the course for the final round of Stroke play today at 1:40 pm. Texas looks to make the top 8 cut and advance into the Match Play bracket. Farah O’Keefe looks to be the fourth ever Longhorn to win the NCAA individual championship for women’s golf. The last win was 1997 from Heather Bowie.

Reading comprehension and common sense are completely lost skills today. For the millionth time, Sark said nothing about his past teams or Tech. He said there's an in-state team not in the SEC who Texas' 2 or 3s could go undefeated against their schedule. Even if he was talking about Tech, Tech fans have agreed that their 2s & 3s could go undefeated against their schedule especially considering they don't even play the best competition the big 12 has to offer outside themselves. There's no Utah, BYU or Kansas St on that schedule. Secondly, it is so dumb for Tech (and aggy before them) to say we're scared to schedule them when we have/had Alabama, Ohio St, Michigan and Notre Dame scheduled for our non-conference. We're not scared to play those teams but the thought of playing a team that we went 10-2 against in our worst stretch in program history keeps us up at night 🙄. We last played that team two years ago and beat them by 50. What are we doing?

I just lost what little of my IQ I have left reading those comments lol. We're not ducking Teech, there is no point in playing them. They're not a rival, they're not important and can only be competitive by over paying literally every single one of their players. This will back fire soon. Sure we had some stinkers last year, but still managed 10 wins and just barely missed out on the playoffs. Tech played barely anyone and still couldn't do sh*t in the playoffs. The comments weren't even directed at them, it was directed at the group of 5 schools getting automatic bids. This is how insecure they are lol.
