Gabriel had quite a few more offensive weapons than Mateer will have. If he tries to hero ball, don't think it will turn out well.

Read in several places that his shoulder injury won't completely heal without surgery. He's had the injury since high school, but he doesn't want to take the time out that surgery would require. Doesn't seem like he's getting the best advice for his career.

Feel sorry the kid. Extremely talented, but injury prone. Hopefully he can shake these nagging injuries.
