  2. A world of salt. Anything chip is associated with is not reliable.
  3. Per 247 (take that with a grain of salt)
  4. As a Dolphins season ticket holder, I can’t wait to see him play on Sunday. Miami’s oline has played much better of late
  5. Hopefully FCB didn’t jump the gun like we’ve seen before…
  6. Well people can continue to cry but the Portal and NIL are not going away. It is what it is... And honestly I find it exciting....
  7. No they have buyouts
  8. Should the coaches have the same rule and sit out a year as well?
  9. If you sign a contract, it should be a monetary and time commitment by both parties.
  10. I spit my beer lol
  11. Today
  12. Transferring without penalty seems to be the biggest issue. If all players had to sit out a year like they did in conference back in the day it would slow down this ridiculous re-shifting of rosters every off season. I saw one kid was heading to his seventh school this offseason. I get NIL, I get fair market value, but transferring without penalty does not seem like a universal right.
  13. I think for the UTSA of the world we need soccer-style long term contracts with buyouts and transfer fees. Then UTSA can sign a guy to a 3 year deal and they actually benefit if they guy is developed into a P4 player. In the current system they are punished for their own success, which is crazy.
  14. Fair and objective comments from Traylor. As a 50+ year college football fan I think this agent/free agency influence is terrible for the game. It drives directly at the reason most people follow college sports. People love college sports because of their emotional ties to the school. You don't watch because you crave excellence in play, you watch because you want to maintain the relationship with the school (and winning is part of that). Once you realize that players only want a paycheck and don't share your love for the college it's easy to start questioning your own loyalty, or at least question rationalizing $300/seat to attend a game. Huge mistake by whoever is/isn't in charge of the game. Reminds be of a conversation I had with my brother-in-law. He's lived in the NYC area for his entire adult life and is only interested in the NFL, NBA, etc. His view is "why would I watch college sports when the highest form of any game is at the pro level." All 30 NFL stadiums have capacities of at least 60,000, with an average around 70,000 seats (ranging from ~61,500 to 82,500). There aren't enough people who love their NFL team to fill a 100,000 person stadium. The closer college sports aligns with professional sports you'll lose many people who love/loved the college game.

  16. The system and timing needs an overhaul for sure. Yet He’s stuck in a AA league job and that’s just how it is.
  17. Well it looks like he is stuck at a minor league school now...
  18. lol Disagree 100% Now, any coach that takes Arkansas will eventually end up fired.
  19. He would be unemployed if he accepted any of these jobs he was “offered.”
