  1. Past hour
  2. To me it looked like he had great coverage on it and if he turned around could've made a play on it. Was a pretty poor pass, tbh. Tate made nothing into something with a spectacular catch.
  3. I think the rattled mechanics and footwork are all mental, so that's the first thing that I'll worry about at Florida: can he handle the expectations better? Can he settle down and acutally GET IN the game? The MORE concerning thing I saw today, because in no way do I wanna believe Arch can't make those easy throws he couldn't make today, is him waiting, on routes over the middle, for guys to GET OPEN instead of throwing them open. Again, this easily could've been a jitters thing, in my mind no way Sark has a whole gameplan centered around that if Arch struggled with it in practice. So it's not a good thing when your QB just can't seem to settle in in big games, but I do think the mental side of handling the pressure of big games gets easier with more reps. I think a lot of today was between the ears rather than talent (even when it comes to going through progressions)
  4. Agreed. 11-1 or 10-2 still available. 0-0 in the SEC. Tough loss, a win was available, but if that’s the other best roster in the country, we’re in a great position. Have 3 games and a bye week to figure it all out before a 5 game SEC stretch.
  5. Arch has always played under center. Taught the game from under center first Sark wants to run more play action from under center … he wants to run the ball effectively from under center to open up play action down the field
  6. @Gerry Hamilton The only thing that gives me confidence is the throws late in the game that he made. Apart from that, I don't wanna say it, but he looked like DJ Uiagalalei at FSU with those bad mechanics and footwork... Hopefully more reps and time will make him overcome the jitters he had, because that was just simply not the same player we saw last year. The Film Guy on twitter specifically pointed out how bad mechanics, footwork and everything else looked. I think these next 3 games are gonna be crucial for him to really settle in and make the easy throws automatic.
  7. Today
  8. The 3rd and 5 on the last possession. It’s not a great throw, but Wingo’s reaction is delayed and odd. He leaves his feet.
  9. I don’t that’s a substantially different result. Maybe the TE gets the first, but we progress done the field anyway.
  10. On which play are you referring to?
  11. steve needs to put in a bootleg near the goal line. or a brotherly shove
  12. That was on Wingo. Feel free to stop your game when the ball is released. There’s ample time to adjust yet he never does.
  13. I actually think that was Shannon that was open on that play.
  14. This. I had to shake my head when I saw Bobby and some others talk about the WRs not getting an open when they were running open all day and Arch was missing them. First play of the game, not only was Deandre Moore wide open but Jack Endries was wide open right behind Moore. Arch had two open options and threw it in the dirt. On 4th & 3 from the 9 where Arch tries to hit Livingstone on the slot fade, Wingo is open for a 1st down and potentially td on a slant but Arch was locked on Livingstone. And then there's Arch missing a wide open Wingo on the big 3rd & 5 on the last possession.
  15. After rewatching the game made just made poor decision and bad throws. He had several wrs open and just made bad decisions. I think he tried to force feed wingo when other wrs and te were open
  16. It’s crazy if you watch the first pass of the game arch miss Deandre Moore for a big game
  17. I'm disappointed in the outcome but I can live with it. It was always going to be a tall task and encouraged that the team we saw today is not the team we're going to see week 7. I'll take my lumps and look forward to a great season going forward. I'm glad this game is over and I no longer have to hear the names Smith and Downs
  18. Data published in March 2024, encompassing quarterback Jalen Hurts' career up to that point, showed he had converted 67 of 75 attempts on 3rd-and-1 or 4th-and-1 situations, representing a 92.6% success rate. tush push brotherly shove SOMEONE TEACH SARK THIS YO
  19. I have to admit that I thought about this during the game as well. However, there were enough positives in the game overall that it didn't feel quite like a Herman game.
  20. Hat tip to the OLine, they did their part. All off season I never heard much praise for Arch. An occasional compliment like “he had a good practice” or “he hasn’t been turning the ball over” but never gushing praise. I guess I can see why, he’s still a work in progress. He can run. He has good zip on the ball. He has a few great throws. But man, so many bad throws, literally more than I saw from any other qB I watched today. Turfed shots, balls behind or too high. Just honestly ugly at times. I’m left wondering about how he’s doing in practice and if this has been a consistent issue for him or if this was first game jitters/Ohio speeding him up/confusion due to lack of tape on Patricia. On the same note I’m left wondering if Sark didn’t feel comfortable developing a fun and aggressive opening script due to unfamiliarity with what Ohio was going to try to do.
  21. For the life of me... I'll never understand why won't DB's whip their head around when trailing a WR. DB's always panic when they get beat and just try to catch up and hit the WR, never finding the football. Hell, Gilbeaux possibly could've batted it down or intercepted it had he got his head around. I think we see Kobe Black or Kade Phillips take that job by season's end. Just a hunch... but I've never been confident in him out there.
  22. All of you people hating on Arch are showing your ignorance of how a QB can develop . For him to go out and ball out would have been an anomoly. What we have is a leader with good character, and a hard worker that will get it fixed. Look at Peyton, Vince, Colt, none of them started well. And given time I could give you probably 5 more examples. He played bad, fine, he has to play better, but quit hating. It’s a small sample size and you are showing your ignorance of how this stuff works . You are game day posters. We are lucky to have a Manning. Stuck with the program for 2 years and raised right. We can stick by him for at least more than one game. Sheesh.
