  1. Past hour
  2. Any more insight on Neto, like did something specifically happen or just didn’t cut it?
  3. He’s a little awkward on slants, but I don’t generally buy that. If it’s truly quick, there’s not much else you can do. Set your feet and rip it.
  4. His dad is excited. Level 1.
  5. I am downsizing and have quite a collection of magazines with Texas players on the cover, plus media guides, primarily during decade of the 90's. I want them to go to good homes. Message me if interested. I will pay for shipping. Thanks.
  6. Sark has great play designs. I think one play you might be wanting is the 2nd play of the game versus UTEP. Well executed. Simple execution. I don’t recall seeing it since then. Not sure we saw it prior to that. Hes got a ton at his disposal that could help. Like maybe someone WR other than Wingo gets a carry. Sometimes his good stuff disappears for too long.
  7. My guess is Neto got his jock in a snag over getting beat out by Stroh. Then Brooks lapped him. At the these levels accepting coaching determines who gets in the rotation.
  8. Yeah, this is a dog house thing at this point. There’s no way that Brooks is already better than Neto at this moment.
  9. This was why everyone was mad about it - how the hell was it that we saw it and they did nothing to experiment? Like that’s insane.
  10. Nah, Hutson needs to be at LG or bench. If we lose this weekend the whole line should be shifted to young. Baker isn’t that good either. Goosby - Hutson/Kibble - Robertson/Cruz - Campbell - Brooks/Baker It’s a shame that Flood but most likely Sark did Neto the way they did. So what he didn’t practice as well as Stroh because he damn sure played better in games than Stroh How do you go into a bye week knowing what you have on the line and make no changes in practice leading into Florida game? Just malpractice.
  11. I'm keeping it the way it was for the 2H of the Florida game. If there was a better option, I believe the staff would have deployed it by now. At least, that's what I would like to believe. The three cupcake games to figure this out clearly didn't prove to mean anything.
  12. I don’t think it’s that simple. For some reason Arch gets flat footed & stares down his target in the quick game.
  13. @CJ Vogel who are you putting out there for your starting 5 on the o-line?
  14. Fortunately, we have seen the worst at Nick Brooks at LG. At least now going into TX/OU he will at least have seen a snap at the position in some capacity during practice.
  15. Sure, I’m fine with that concession. But not being able to see Stroh is clearly not the answer until the Florida game is just crazy. There were guys on this board, me and @Hashtag who said Stroh was unplayable, Flood kept trotting him out there rather than doing something else (Hutson at guard I guess). Instead they trotted out Nick Brooks, who has never played LG. I mean, what are they doing?
  16. I don't think it will. Zina has carved out a very solid contributing role on this team.
  17. And again, in Flood's defense – While I don't know the specifics (yet) regarding Neto, it's tough when your 4th year expected starter at LG turns out to be completely unplayable the week of the season opener.
  18. I’d add the term athletic into the “tough athletic humans” portion of this post and you are spot on.
  19. My thing is, if sark would just throw to the RBs in the flats , short easy pitch and catch… run those Dlinemen sideline to sideline using tempo. Wearing the opposing d line out and gassing them may be the best way to help the o line get a push. Eventually the back end will start creeping up and that’s when you beat em deep over the top.
  20. Today
  21. Hell yeah, CJ - who do you think we have to blame for that… I’ll give you a hint: K**e *lo*d
  22. And as far as Neto how does that impact the other Z on the team?
  23. A little look and comparison on our screen game the past 3 years. 2024 was the least effective in terms of yards per play in the 6.4 range then this year at 7.8 and 2023 at 8.5. 2024 was the lowest in terms of completion percentage and adjusted completion so that probably brings the ypp back in line. Sark for sure needs to lean into it a bit more but we’re not much different than years prior although UF likely competes with the fewest Sark has run since his arrival.
  24. Two fold. One, Neto Umeozulu was showing signs of life in the spring. On pace to be the guy. Things changed, obviously, leading up to Ohio State. Now, it appears Neto has played his last down as a Longhorn. The defense was always ahead of the offense, but that is part of the growing pains of every spring. Injury to Cojoe, loss of Neto being an option is two pieces of the puzzle that were available in the spring that aren't today.
  25. Where has this been? It’s so frustrating.
  26. Were these things that the coaches saw in practice and just tossed it up to "the defense is just that good" and didn't realize the o line was just flat out bad?
  27. Beyond having three years of gameplanning for Arch, they also had 8 months to game plan for this offensive line getting its lunch eaten every day in practice dating back to the first day of practice in the spring. Nothing changed.
