  1. Past hour
  2. Pretty much guaranteed that Sorby's availabilty for game 3 will be due strictly to how the QB (s) play in the first 2 games. If they aren't good in games 1 & 2, SOrsby will be out there for game 3.
  3. Same parents that helped him place thousands of bets???haha
  4. Texas Softball received good news today when they picked up a commitment from Arizona State portal catcher Samantha Swan. Swan hit .383 last season for 12 HR, 21 doubles and 55 RBIs.
  5. Let those idiots talk. They’re no longer digging their own grave with shovels. They’ve brought it a backhoe.
  6. It's in Tech's power to bench him permanently and/or let him get on to the supplemental draft. There's nothing stopping them from doing the right thing for the integrity of the sport, other than their own desire to win at all costs. If they allow Sorsby to play, they endorse gambling in college sports (as long as you go to rehab when caught and pinky promise never to do it again. Honest. This time.) Tech should get the death penalty for even challenging the all-sport rule of integrity and gambling. It's not out of their hands. They want their $6 million quarterback but just don't want to take the blame for it. Pathetic.
  7. Yea, they copping out. now Joey said "its a stretch" to say that Sorsby will play in game 3 against Houston bc he's dealing with "addiction". GIMME A BREAK...
  8. I’m not sure you can force people to schedule you…….
  9. Tech released as statement today stating “technically” they’re not the ones who filed the lawsuit and they’re keeping Sorsby to show they care about their athletes 😂
  10. lol. Spot the microphone! Funny that he’s suddenly avoiding the press. He wouldn’t shut up a week ago.
  11. Loved how he refers to the school that he punches every button for in the third person.
  12. Cody just said the quiet part out loud: Tech cowered in the corner while the injunction was being considered, hoping they wouldn’t have to make a hard call. They hoped the problem would just go away. The AD’s statement is a testament to their pathetic cowardice and lack of moral fortitude.
  13. I've been a high school coach for 27 years. Never missed a THSCA convention... until this summer. I will not attend
  14. One would think that at some point Big 12 leadership would step and be like this is not good for the conference. But nope, without Texas apparently sand aggy has anointed themselves the new leader of the conference with no contention.
  15. Very low. The other 15 B12 schools will drive this. It won’t be Yormark.
  16. I actually appreciate some of the clarification of facts and can't say I would handle the situation differently with my own son (I have daughters). But this isn't "new". He knew the rules and risks and he wants a different punishment. What if the NCAA comes back and says OK the punishment was too much. He can only play in half the games. Or can't participate in the post-season (a common punishment for team violations). Are we good or is everyone forced to follow the "whatever the court says" in these future scenarios? Nobody is saying that we don't want this person to get treatment and be better but this ruling essentially says the NCAA has zero authority to enforce their own rules.
  17. I don't know, but the release of this statement and Joey canceling his press conference make it seem like they're starting to feel the pressure from all of this. Now it's just a matter of seeing what, if anything, comes from it.
