I will agree that our softball team is a unicorn in college softball. But UT sports are that way in general. Austin is the largest market without a pro sports team. If we chose to add men’s and women’s lacrosse they’d have the best gates in collegiate lacrosse. How many D1 softball programs are there? How many would you consider profitable? How many have a similar gate yield as baseball?

TE recruiting a little odd. Seems like we’re in a dogfight for a jumbo TE (Kent) then there is the raw Cali kid who is a total dart throw. A little perplexed at the process there but not too worried about it because TE seems to be a position we can portal in if needed.

Idk if Bowman would decommit with the amount of money he will get over the next three years regardless of how USC performs on the field but I hope you're right.

I believe first two college World Series softball nationally televised had nearly 2 million viewers or more 8,000 fans at game . Game three 3 million tv viewers & 12,000 fans in attendance. I believe our soft ball team made Texas a lot of money directly & indirectly. You get the last word. Texas Softball Rocks . I know Texas was against Title 9 when it was being established. But I believe our university embraces women sports now & I know OTF does. It’s self evident.
