Alex C Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago What is your favorite stat or random bit of info. Here are my top 3 1 - My oldest kid is 11.5 and he has not lived in a world where ATM has beaten the horns 2 - We have one NFL coach alum/player in Kyle Shanny (mostly since he didn't play much so people forget he is a former player and not a Mike Mcdaniel type...and his dad being the door to the NFL) 3 - And lastly, that our 2020 QB room housed 4 (.5ish) collegiate starters: Ehlinger being a multi year starter Casey Thompson starts for us and then transfers to half the colleges in the county to play Hudson Card starts at Purdue Jaquinden Jackson starts at RB for Utah and then Arky And the .5 would be when Rochon moves from QB to RB this year and although technically is part of a 2 headed monster RB tandem, I will allow him the partial Quote
SoldierHorn Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Statistically, the best Longhorn football team was the 1914 team. The team averaged 44.7 points on offense per game and allowed only 2.6 pts per game on defense (5 shutouts in an 8 game season) The team that played Texas the closest on the year was the Haskell Institute Fighting Indians (now the Haskell Indian Nations University (Land Grant)). The Fighting Indians were the only team to keep Texas under 30 points and one of only three teams to score on Texas for the season. Texas won 23-7. Coincidently, Haskell beat both LSU and TA&M by a combined score of 41-0. Edited 1 hour ago by SoldierHorn 1 Quote
