Texas has been to six straight NCAA Tournaments. Now an Elite 8 and Sweet 16 in the in the last four years. If you took the four years prior to Sean's first year, Texas has been to Round 32 in 3 of 4, with an Elite 8. 

It's typical stupid BS from people.

The NCAA Tournament is a beast. Acting like it just should happen because someone thinks so, is truly dense basketball knowledge. He has basketball dunce cap level takes.

I remember, as do you, KD’s lone year at Texas. Watching Acuff reminds me of KD’s dominance. Obviously different players, but Acuff is basically AI reincarnate

Texas could have top five talent and go out in the first round next year. It’s hard to get to the tournament and almost impossible to predict once you are there. Going back to Tom Penders we have been spoiled in just how often we have been to the tournament.

The only person in my mind that’s even in the same conversation with Craig Way for the greatest of all time is Vin Scully. Craig could call a traffic jam and make me want to run through a wall

we have not been spoiled as to how often we have been in the tourney. as a non-basketball school, i expect to be good enough year in and year out to be in the tourney. 9 times out of 10 we should be in the tourney and then what happens, happens. We have to have some luck but i expect us to be in the sweet 16 3-4 times out of 10 years. to me thats realistic.

I would be a program that is finishes in the four of the SEC every year. Do that and at some point you figure out the tournament. The tournament is unpredictable and you touched on it “luck” Santa Clara beat Kentucky but Kentucky hit a miracle shot. And yes we have been spoiled. Nebraska has been to the tournament TWICE.

Not sure what at all Nebraska has to do with anything. Other football schools have done better than us. But that means nothing also. Your expectations might be low, no way we have been spoiled. The opposite, end of Barnes was a bit of a downer. But you made the right hire and you can definitely succeed in the tourney as a non-basketball school with the resources of Texas.
