When they "Tiger proofed" the course years ago.... and they absolutely did. They added trees on several holes in which righties hit power fades (when the course was getting too short) ... it totally changed the course off several key tee boxes.

What that did was gave lefties that hit fades off the tee a big "fit the eye" off the tee. That's when you started to see the run of lefties win multiple Masters. 

A lefty that can carve the power fade off the tee has an advantage for sure. 

And a righty that can hit power draw has a terrific shot. Really fits Rory's game off the tee.

When Tiger won in 2019 ... he hit the draw on 3-4 holes in which it is really required, and then his power fade on others. He had struggles with the required driver draws for years prior.
